Cowboys preparing for Sean Lee to miss rest of season, now also nursing Sims and Durant in addition to sidelined Carter

The Cowboys are bracing for news that Sean Lee is going to miss the rest of the season, another blow to a linebacker corps that also lost Ernie Sims and Justin Durant in Sunday’s loss to the Packers.

A team source said the Cowboys expect to hear this week that Lee is finished for the season, as he undergoes further evaluation for a neck injury.

Why was it again that we couldn't sign him to the big contract in the off-season?

Why was it again that we couldn't sign him to the big contract in the off-season?

Because he was going to finally become a All-Pro / Pro-Bowl player this year and the Cowboys would have to pay him double then....

Sean Lee will be one of those guys that won't have a long NFL Career. I doubt he plays longer than 2 more seasons because of injuries. Could be another Dat Nguyen.

he's an overachiever. physically speaking. he's a guy who has to work 5x more than other nfl players b/c he's not naturally an athletic person. that excessive work takes its toll.

no clue the extent of his injury but anything associated with the neck sounds career threatening

Such an underachiever .... Always hurt, why did we resign this guy again? If we traded him away then all we'd be missing out on is 4-6 games a year from him, and out of those 4-6 games we'd probably lose half anyway.
