Spagnola: McClain Could Solve D’s Double Trouble

And Melton could get healthy and return to his pro bowl form.
And Wilber could start looking like he did last year at SAM
And McClain could return from his high ankle sprain and be a good 1T
And Wilcox could turn into an NFL starting caliber safety
And Carr could get his confidence back and start being the guy we thought we singed
And Claiborne could stay healthy this year and play like a guy that's worth two high round draft picks.
And Lawrence could play like a guy worth two high draft picks when he comes back healthy.

A lot of things could happen,

As far as I'm concerned, the acquisition of RM was a low risk-high reward move.

Don't be shocked if a couple more names are added when we sign a couple of FA's after the cut to 53. My goodness you need to write down all this stuff to keep it straight.

That's what got me started with the post. We could be good or we could be bad but there sure are a lot of question marks.

No doubt he can help, but is anybody comfortable that we are sorta counting on him?

Yes, because we still have Durant, Carter and Wilber if something happens and he doesn't work out. If McClain gets it all together, he makes us better. If not, we possibly still have an OK linebacker corps with Durant playing as well as he is.

Funny. I bet if u asked Mickey 2 months ago if they should look at Ro, he would have laughed at you.

That's a typical cowboys off season plan, have hope all of the stars will align and when they don't panic and start looking for bodies who are out of work.

No, I don't think anyone is comfortable with that.

I also don't think anyone expected to lose Sean Lee for the year.

People are acting as if McClain was our only MLB hope to start with. If the injury to Sean Lee didn't happen, he wouldn't even be here. Let's keep things somewhat in perspective.

All I do know is we'll be starting the season with a back 7 who haven't played together enough to spit. Prepare for wide open receivers on 3 and long, if they get to third and long that is.

Its like you finally meet a hot girl and you hit it off. She's interested in what you have to say and you think "Hey, this could happen!" You have a great time so you give her your number and she ends up calling you back, and you're like "Hey, this could happen!" Then she keeps calling, and keeps calling, and keeps calling.... and you find out she's nuts. And then you understand why she was available, and why she was interested in you and you realize.... you're still a loser... or so I've been told. :D

You can do a lot with a crazy hot chick. Just don't tell her were you live.

If Sean Lee hadn't gone on the IR, he would have still been retired.

And the humor for today: It is said that injury creates opportunities...except in Dallas, where it just creates the next injury.

Jealous of the 2 defenses I am watching right now: Buff and TB. Sad

I would wait until he plays more than a quarter of a preseason to start popping bottles of champagne.

It was a great trade even if he doesn't work out is the point. It will have cost us nothing. If he does...we stole him.

If he's so good, then why was he available?

He wasn't. He was retired. I don't know the inside baseball that let the Cowboys know he was considering a comeback.

And whether he is good or not is not in question.
