Are people still hoping that we will draft a QB that we'd plan to use instead of Dak to deny Dak getting paid? Not going to happen. Even if we draft a QB mid rounds, Dak is going to get paid. This is akin to people hyping up Pollard in preseason in the hopes that the front office felt the same so they'd not work out a deal with Zeke. How'd that turn out? Lol.

I agree. But if Dak actually plays the entire season (whenever that may be) under the tag there is a chance he won't get paid. At least not by the Cowboys.

Do you consider folks like me who do not believe he's the guy to bring home a Super Bowl (although I don't think it's impossible) haters?

I don't think I'm one but curious if I fall into the hater category in your mind. I think there's a lot more people like myself than actual haters.

Hating Dak is more about who he could be but now never will be. Too much playing with the fans over his contract has been murderous for his image...his brand.

He has gone from being universally loved to being 'hated' be half or more of the fans.

His behavior lately shows us who he really is. This has been very needed becuz he has hidden alot about himself while basking in the spotlight of being our starting QB.

So now..I have seen the truth about Dak. I understand him now..Brady he isn't, Brees he isn't.

I now have to see clearly that Jerrah is the only person who has control of this situation.

Either he pays Dak or he stops that direction and chooses another one.

There are alot of QBs who could succeed in Dallas and do not require they be paid the most money in the sport.

Just go find him Jerrah.

I'm talking about the hopes around contract negotiations from the team's standpoint. And you need to talk to the Zeke haters about Zeke being elite, lol. If he signed a 1-year contract I'd tend to agree with them. He didn't so let's see more before the "I told you so's" start to fly. But the hope around Zeke's and Dak's contracts are the same. And each player held/holds similar leverage. We saw how one situation ended up. Not hard to see what's most likely going to happen with the other.

Oh I’m confident the team will be conservative and do the right thing by all the normal standards and make Dak the highest paid at his position and we will be lucky if the deal is 5 years..

Heck they may drag their feet long enough to where he is making 40 million a year.

I may be wrong, but I think the "choice" is signing the tag, but until then (or until a contract is agree on an signed) he is not a member of the Dallas Cowboys. I certainly know he couldn't participate in actual practices if that were the case, but I suppose it's possible there could be some distinction if there is no physical element.
