I think we need to improve that coach. I do not blame the missed FGs Aubrey has had this season....as good as he has been, you are going to miss some of those longer ones.
What is a bit concerning is the Blocked FGs. That is more of a scheme or the Line issue.

Also odd that with the whole issue of kicking it out of the endzone when you want to bleed the clock.
I also have to think that they have been trying to get Aubrey to do some other kicks because he has had the out of bound kicks, which seems to be more already this season than all of last season...although I could be wrong on that.

But he has also had issues with getting it within the landing zone, although I think that is a silly rule.

I do not know if they can even do a squib kick anymore since it has to be in a landing zone.

Not even sure if you can announce you are going to try an on sides kick off and do a squib kick in place of it just to bleed the clock.

I just know that although we would complain about Bones from time to time and the idea that maybe he had more sway with the HC at times...It seems to me this ST has not been good since Bones.

Yeah, a lot of us were concerned about the kick/punt coverage units during the preseason

and it hasn't gotten better. Somes guys have made plays, but overall the coverage is a liability

Kickoff and punt coverage teams were excellent today, not sure what you're talking about. Yes, they gave up one big return, but apart from that, they pinned Houston to their 15, 8, 24, 17, 20, 14, 13, and 28. That's terrific and was not a small part of why they won.
Attempting the 65-yard FG with 30+ seconds left in the half was one of the dumbest calls I've ever seen. You do that with <10 seconds left, not when there's time for them to score after a miss.

Can't do squib kicks anymore.

Downs plays some of the ST units.
- That's probably means they don't trust a lot of the backup players on ST.

In theory ST should always improve later in the season.
- Not saying it will, but many NFL players didn't play ST in college.

Having said that, last weeks kicks that hit in the landing area and then rolled out of bounds might not be the worst option.

Somebody is definitely missing something in the Coach's Special Teams film study room.

Punt teams allowed big return too. Bad ST can cost them games.

Yep. He should have be sent packing with Eberflus. He sucked last year. And he still sucks. Nothing's changed about that.
