Speculation: Jerry will make a SPLASH

Jimmy is 66 years old. He likes retirement in the Keys and working part time for FOX. He wants no part of this disaster.

We have a winner.

Nick Eatman had a serious convo on the Lunch Break about it today...how amazing would that be? He said how Jimmy loves a challenge and just had a "gut feeling" it could happen. He also said it would be a good PR move for Jerry.

NO WAY IN HELL IT HAPPENS!

Even if Jimmy wanted to come back, winning with Jimmy would be a crushing blow to Jerrys ego. He's been trying to prove what a great football man he is ever since Jimmy left and there is no way he would risk seeing Jimmy make him look more ridiculous than he already looks.

Having said that, if it worked out, I couldn't think of anything sweeter. Jimmy's back, they win a SB and Jerry gets humiliated in the process.

I had been wondering that myself based on some of the answers the Jimmster had been giving lately on TV being very pro-Cowboy etc
..since Jimmy already likes what he sees talent wise I think he is figuring all the team needs is motivation so he will probably be dusting off the old psycholgy books and get back to Dallas. He would probably only want a 2 yar deal since he likes fishing too much and prefers that to getting ulcers the longer you coach here in Dallas
...and JJ gets his usual splash in the headline news and the Cowboys once again become the talk of the town next year

I can't believe I'm sitting here working in Finance and Nick Eatman is working for the Cowboys.

exactly my thoughts...."gut feeling"....he's the reason i have basically stopped listening to that show, i can't stand listening to him and his constant whining and underhanded comments....he reminds me of the cowboy-haters i work with.

Sorry about that, I am usually a positive to semi positive person.

But I have had it.

It is nice to dream. Even when Jimmy is 86 years old and we are on year 33 of our playoff drought his name will be bantered about by some of us longing for the good old days. I still get pissed thinking of what might have been had Jimmy stayed around in 94'.

Unless ....... he was gonna come in and groom a young future red headed head coach for 2 or 3 years for like 15 million dollars.

nahhhhhh

:D

and name Jimmy Johnson the next coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Nick Eatman on the Lunch Break today said he wouldn't be surprised if it happened and Jimmy loves a challenge.
These guys must have hit happy hour early. Or they are sadists.

DO NOT TEASE ME LIKE THIS!!!!!!:bastid:

(Fine Print: This poster knows Jimmy would probably not work out if by some chance pigs flew backwards in a frozen hell and he did returned; however, he would still very much like to see it)

Not saying it's going to happen but I seem to remember several Cowboy fans saying that there is no way we would hire Bill Parcells.

Jimmy's comments lately has me thinking he wants one more coaching job. It would have to be the perfect situation but I wouldn't be shocked if it happened.

Well I figured If I was going to ride the good ship ******* I had to include the captain.

Jimmy had the stars align when he was in Dallas. He was a good coach, new how to draft...had alot of contacts still in college and got a ton of picks from Herschel Walker. I don't think he would do any worse than Cupcake, but there's no guarantee he would either. My take ....if he did lose his mind and came back...would be that he would have a heck of a time putting together a staff. Any coaching change, if it happens:) , would have to be conducive to a 3-4 Defense. Way too much invested in this to start over again (read learning curve). Interesting thought about Jimmy. Never happen tho.

I remember the day that rumor started. I was at work and a friend of mine who is a giants fan came running over to me saying he heard on espn that parcells was talking to jerry.

I couldnt believe it. I didnt believe at bills press conference.

Jimmy said main reason he quit in Miami was todays "me first, look at me, spoiled, out of touch, coach killing athletes. Pretty sure Jimmy hasnt changed his opinion, I know the athletes have only gotten worse. He is set for life, loves fishin in the keys, and has a cushy TV gig where he doesnt have to be right or win. Why when he is pushing 70 would he come back to this mess?
