It is nice to dream. Even when Jimmy is 86 years old and we are on year 33 of our playoff drought his name will be bantered about by some of us longing for the good old days. I still get pissed thinking of what might have been had Jimmy stayed around in 94'.

Put down the narcotics :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

Sorry, but that is what this organization has become IMO. Probably in poor taste to use Landry as a reference...my bad.

I really wish instead there was more focus on pure football and winning, instead of making a "splash" or broadcasting in 3-D. I know there are bills to pay, but it seems Jerry is more interested in making money than winning games. They are two seperate things.

I am right, we have the Raiders as the model of what is to come while Jerry is here. 20 years, Jerry will be 87, still 37 years younger than Al Davis is today.

We are not the raiders.

The previous coach was nice enough to have left us Tony Romo, Jason witten, demarcus ware, marion barber, marc columbo, miles austin, patrick crayton, jay ratliff, terrence newman, kyle kosier and bradie james.

We have some very good players at the key positions in their prime. So for at least 4 more years we should be at the least an 8-8 type team.

Once it gets back to the other guys personell then the raiders talk can start again. This is assuming we dont get another general in here to run the show.

and name Jimmy Johnson the next coach of the Dallas Cowboys. Nick Eatman on the Lunch Break today said he wouldn't be surprised if it happened and Jimmy loves a challenge.

stop with this asinine continuing belief every ******** year, Jimmy has said it a thousand freakin times, he's not coaching again, get it through your thick head. Who cares what those two clowns have to say on the lunch break.. both of them couldn't find their azzhole if they had a flashlight, compass and a map..

I believe if that were true Jerry would have gone with the popular opinion to fire Wade after last season and go get the "big name" guy that would have pleased the masses.....instead he kept Wade cause he wants the Cowboys to be a winning franchise once again and he thought Wade could get it done with one more chance doing it with his guys......so far its not lookin good but still very possible.....he may not be the best GM in football but no GM in the league cares as much about the team than Jerry does the Dallas Cowboys....its not about money...he already has money

I think keeping Wade was the safe position (continuity) going into the new stadium. Jerry had a lot of balls in the air and money invested and no matter who might come in (BP, Jimmy, Shanny, Holmgren, Cowher, etc) it is going to take some time. By going with Wade, it at least guaranteed a chance to compete this year which sells tickets. I also agree with you and think Jerry truly believed tat Wade could pull this team together and now he's not so sure.

I don't question his love or devotion to the Dallas Cowboys as a brand, just wonder what order the priorities fall. Maybe it's just a matter of him trying to wear too many hats (owner, GM, quasi-coach :))

Jimmy doesn't even have his guys around. Norv, Wanny, and Butch are all Head Coaches. Tony Wise is with NYJ. Hubbard Alexander is a candidate for TSU. Only Campo is around, and Garrett is 50-50 to stay on as only OC.
