The internet is abuzz with
Randy Moss' latest comments -- he's resolved to the fact that 2010 could be his last season with the
New England Patriots, per
the Boston Globe -- but some have wondered whether Moss is actually
angling for a trade. Responding to Moss' assertion that the Pats don't "pay for quality," Pats CEO Robert Kraft gave a nicer version of Chad Ochocinco's "Child please." "He made over $20 million the last two years," said Kraft, per
the Boston Herald. "We don't pay for quality? I think you can see that (we do)."
Remembering back a little over a month ago, there was a suggestion that the Pats should begin their process of renewal by trading Moss, but the movement didn't gain much steam then. One of the teams linked to potentially acquiring Moss was the
Denver Broncos, who are dealing with their own malcontent WR right now in
Brandon Marshall.
In thinking about teams that could be interested, it'll likely be a team that believes it is on the cusp of a championship run, as the 33-year-old Moss is not a fundamental building block for the future at this stage of his career. As such, speculative options include the Bengals, Cowboys, Giants, Ravens and Vikings.

Moss not a top priority
"If a list was created of Patriots priorities for a contract extension, receiver Randy Moss would currently fall behind nose tackle
Vince Wilfork and quarterback
Tom Brady, and possibly even behind Pro Bowl left guard
Logan Mankins. That might best explain why Moss, who enters the final year of his contract, said Saturday night that he believes 2010 will be his final season with the Patriots."
