when I first glanced at the thread title, I read it as "SPECULATION: WR Charles Rogers dies"

3rd...behind 2 undrafted wr...how was Roy williams (wr) available and we not take him? or did you forget he's their number 1 wr, and their 2nd and 3rd wr's were free agents and multi year pros?

He is behind Corey Bradford a 5th round pick. He is backed up by Mike Furrey a converted Safety who also played arena ball. But Glen Martinez backs up Roy Williams, and He played at Saginaw Valley. So there are two undrafted FA's higher than him on the depth chart. Sorry, no thanks...

It wouldn't hurt to take a look.

He'll come cheap for one and he'll be on a short leash so if he messes up, out the door w/ him and we won't have lost anything in the process.

He is still young enough that he can meet his potential. Maybe not the #2 overall potential, but as a serviceable receiver.
