Speed package

Gronk ran a 4.68 40 at the combine at 6 foot 6" and weight 268 lbs. That ain't slow for sure.

I doubt he runs that fast now. Witt ran a 4.65 40 at 6'6" and weight 265LBS at the combine.

So with the signing of Butler I got to thinking about speed. Most of us have wanted speed inserted into our offense and now we have it. What's the best to get the offense passing game rolling...........

Butler and Thompson outside receivers

Austin is the slot

Zeke in the backfield

Rico at TE

That lineup to me could really cause problems to opposing defenses. You can stretch the field and also run the ball with Zeke. A ton of options with this lineup.

Any thoughts on this my fellow brothers and sisters?
Throw in the Beez and...... Money .

Speed is good and I’d like to see this line-up on occasion. But quickness sometimes is better. Cole is the quickest and best out of his cuts of all our receivers...and one of the quickest in the league.

And great hands. I thought it would be Hurns, but right now, Beasley is our best WR. He should always be on the field.

But the track meet with Butler, Thompson, and Austin all on the field at the same time would put a lot of pressure on a defense. How many defenses have 3 DBs that can match up to those 3? Think of their 3rd fastest going up against Butler. I would think that would be very bad news for some teams.

This is the kind of edge you'd look at to exploit. You know, if we ever actually looked for edges to exploit.

If I am going with speed routes down the field TE is pointless cause I want to max protect give the WRs time to get separated down field. I go with the 3 speedsters 6 blockers EE in a route taking advantage of the space cleared by the speedsters and Dak.

Excellent scoring lineup. Every single person you named can get separation. Rico has the added ability to drag one or two with him. We need him on the field more.

Love the strategy though. From a WR perspective, we are the polar opposite of what we were last year. Speedy route running technicians. Awesome stuff. It's going to be fun to see all of this develop over the course of the season.

ah rico, the ROH, HOF player....slower than molasses in winter....the OP looked good to me until I saw his name in there...Rico's first catch this season will be his first catch in the NFL in his 3 years

Jarwin is faster than Rico.

They could use 4 Wide with Beasley and Austin as slot WRs on each side and Butler/Thompson as the outside WRs.

I like this idea a lot.

I think Rico is more talented than the other options we have at TE.

Jarwin poses no serious threat tho. Not at all. Dak and Rico need to work more on their connections. No matter what you say. Rico gets open when he’s out there. None of the other TEs can get open consistently.

I'm not a huge Rico fan. I put him in the lineup for matchup problems. You could easily replace him with Beasley, Swaim/Jarwin, Gallup. This isn't a lineup from start to finish, just a package

That could work as well, hell even Gallup could be in there. Just a package we could use in a game to cause defenses problems
