Speeding Tickets

Almost 20 over...I would pay the ticket and thank the cop for not charging me with reckless driving.

I got a 90 dollar fine (so nothing too major fortunately) and its 2 points if I don't try to appeal. Does anybody have experience and roughly know how much that raises insurance rates if I just pay the ticket? Don't really want to call my insurance company and ask them directly. The points are what I wonder about - are they worth going to court to try to get dropped.
