Spencer on 103.3 right now

It's already over. Sorry, it was pretty short... And really, Spencer is kind of a boring interview. He's a nice, polite kid who doesn't expand on things too much.

He did say that he didn't even know about Ellis' injury (or pain) yesterday until his mom told him, and that one of his goals was to be the starting OLB anyway.

He also said he was excited to play in this defense, because he hadn't ever seen anything like this that attacked the QB so much but could still stop the run.

That was about it. :eek::
he does his talkin on the field. pass rush 187 is coming to a city near you! opposing qbs run for your lives!!!!!!!!

I hope Spencer's boring interview means he will have a boring offseason and not make the PFT Police Blotter.

Ellis will start but Spencer will play solid and eventually replace him.

I listened to an interview with him 2 years ago where the host commented how well-spoken he was.

Oh...now you've done it.

I noted yesterday that I thought it was somwhat of a character issue that he wasn't even in the state of Texas while training camp was going knowing that he should be a part of it. That way, as soon as an agreement was made, he would be ready to practice rather than fly 1,000 miles and then practice.

Now, the fact that he doesn't know anything about his own team during all this time I find very questionable too. My impression of Spencer is darkening daily.

Yeah, I guess I shouldn't even go there on Bradie. Too many people take it the wrong way. But I still stand by what I said.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he's a total idiot, and I'm certainly not saying he's a bad guy in any way. He's a good guy. He said in that interview today that he was a big reader, and that's great. But I've heard a lot of Cowboys interviewed over the last few years, and it's hard to describe exactly, but he just doesn't seem as bright as most of the rest of them. Maybe that has nothing to do with play on the field... But maybe it does.

Let's just say that I can see why guys like Spears, Canty, Newman, Carp, and Akin would be a little irritated at Bradie proclaiming himself their leader.

If I remember correctly, Parcells wanted James to step up and lead the defense. Obviously last year he showed he couldn't do that. Enter Ken Hamlin who was known to QB the defense in Seattle.

...of course I still question why they were so willing to let him go. Granted Grant is a better safety, but you just don't cut your defensive captain and replace him. That effects the rest of the defense.

I was thinking Bradie's days were numbered, but from what I heard Carp and Bradie where practicing with the starting defense in TC. Where is Akin?

Ken Hamlin interview comming up in a few

We need Ellis to make this team what we all hope it will be. If he can't do it, we're in big trouble having to place everything on Spencer including pass defense at times. Am hoping bursitis flareup will gradually lessen and he'll be okay and make major contribution this year along with Spencer.

Sensible
