You got your opinions and I got mine. I see an under acheiver, you see what ever it is you see.

So he didn't play up to your expectations in 2011-12 and you expect 3 years straight of pro bowl performances or else someone underachieved.

I think it took him some time to refine his technique and figure out how to beat NFL OT is the way I look at it. I don't think he has lost that knowledge. It's about where he is physically that I question.

It's actually very similar to how I feel about Crawford. I see his game developing much like Spencer whose physical gifts almost got him sacks so often that it earned him a nickname.

Fans are already starting to turn on Crawford and call him a bust as he almost makes plays and PFF lauds him for it. Maybe we can get him a nickname too.

He was dominant the second half of 2009. I think after that as long as the checks did not bounce, like a lot of guys here, it didnt matter.

And you base this on what?

So all the effort and discipline he put in to come back from microfracture and you still want to call him lazy.

Unbelievable.

I base that on the second half of 2009, as dominating a stretch as Ware ever had, then disapears for 2 years. Based on the 2009 second half performance we know had it in him, so you explain the next couple years. If not motivation, then what?

First of all you act like he was bad in the interim which is not the case. He was still an elite run defender and almost getting to the QB outside a half a dozen times.

Teams adjusted to fledgling pass rushing moves and Ratliff, Spears and the other guys near him saw their play severely decline.

I remember a Spencer interview where he said that the breakthrough for him was adjusting his take off and closing angles. Makes sense considering how he was close but not able to finish. The speaks of something that is not laziness. He worked, studied and got better.

Outside of your stretch of a deduction have you ever seen him play lazy? He was one of the few i remember on 2010 GB of not cashing it in and playing with pride. Witten cannot even say that. He has showed tremendous work ethic and discipline in coming back from this surgery and has beaten long odds in doing so.
