This sounds just awesome, eh? So well thought out. Let's force owners to sign players against their will.

The media LOVES these stories. It'll be 24/7. Michael Sam times 1000. Bob Costas is probably giggling with glee.

I'm starting to ponder turning off the NFL forever.

Spike will try to recruit Oprah, Obama, and the NFLPA to show up and fabricate this into a huge racial crisis.

Could be bad.

Can't see this ending well....more polarizing Lee could not be
Lol. How is this not gonna "end well?" Riots. Firebarms? Molotovs?

It's a whole lot of nothing from a hothead and will end peacefully (they know this is a somewhat focal point in the media) and probably have far less turnout than expected.

Kudos to Spike Lee I applaud him for this.
I do, too. I just don't see this being as big a deal as people think it will be.

Props for the man for rallying the troops and trying to go further with his cause than has done before.

Just don't think it'll be enough, J.

I just think its a load of crap, and the owners are giving a bunch of bs reasons for why they will sign SCRUBS like Fitzpatrick, Gabbert, and a retired Jay Cutler before Kapernick. He already said he isn't gonna kneel this year, and if you end up needing a backup qb he is better than half the ones in this league. But then again people are more upset about him kneeling than the actual issue he was kneeling about. So this doesn't surprise me at all.

"Spike Lee plans to protest the fact that he hasn't been interesting or relevant in about 20 years by piggybacking on Colin Kapernick's 15 minutes in the spotlight."
Well 25th Hour was pretty bad arse! You should check it out. Fantastic film.

He's also not leading this charge, Idgit. Just making it more news-worthy

Without getting political, I don't disagree, brother.

And, yourself, as a current duty military personnel have major cache in this discussion, my brother.

J, my brother.

Fitzpatrick and Gabbert are not even correlations. They are clear backups.
Kaep wants to start...or definitely compete to start. He also he would ask for more than they are getting paid.
Not apples and aaples, J.

Cutler is a better comparable.
But that really is in the eye of the beholder. A huge number (certainly not all) of owners, HCs, and especially OCs would think Cutler is better
It's just a matter of opinion if they're right or not. In Miami's Case, it was the previous OC who already had success with Cutler, so it made sense.
