You and Corso are both good guys. Wish I could emulate you guys more, but I’m weak. There’s a few guys here that still anger me. Reminds me of that speech from the Dark Knight, about how you can’t reason with them, and how some men just like to watch the world burn.

Salud.
You may wish to consider the ignore feature.
I only have 3 on that list, but it makes my time here more enjoyable.

I think Ryan will bomb out in a big way unless the Colts have massively improved their pass protection. People get overly emotional and biased but the reality is that Wentz actually played very well last season yet was made a bit of a scapegoat imo. Ryan is a statue compared to Wentz so he could be in for a whole world of pain. I think the Jaguars will be a massively improved team and will win the division.
Wentz was pedestrian in the laat two games of the season = two losses that prevented the Colts from getting into the playoffs.

From memory he was playing having just recovered from covid? I cut any player slack in that situation. Over the course of the season he played very well and the pass protection was terrible, especially early on, compared with the season before yet people are not willing to look at the facts and presume he played with the same o-line as Rivers and slate him. He didn't play well against the Jaguars but he wasn't the only one - the defense had an awful game.

Jalen Hurts is too low. The Eagles have a friendly schedule, loaded roster, good offensive line and they added a quality wide receiver in Brown. I don't regard Hurts as a top 10 QB but he will have a very good season and likely finish in the top 10 in these type of rankings.
Hurts is having trouble completing passes in mini camp practices. Brown was covering for him in the media the other day. Reminds me of when Dak took a few weeks to throw a touchdown in practice.

So many QB rankings already, but whatever. They are all just opinions.
We are in full-blown NFL doldrums right now.

This one at least gives us their criteria. They are ranking the QBs based on how well they expect them to play this coming season.

Here are their 2022 Top 20
  1. Justin Herbert
  2. Josh Allen
  3. Patrick Mahomes
  4. Joe Burrow
  5. Tom Brady
  6. Aaron Rodgers
  7. Matthew Stafford
  8. Lamar Jackson
  9. Russell Wilson
  10. Derek Carr
  11. Dak Prescott
  12. Kyler Murray
  13. Deshawn Watson
  14. Trevor Lawrence
  15. Kirk Cousins
  16. Tue Tagovailoa
  17. Mac Jones
  18. Jalen Hurts
  19. Matt Ryan
  20. Baker Mayfield

Justin Herbert at the very top????

There's no consensus until Joe Schmo living in his mom's basement releases HIS list of QB rankings. Then it'll all make sense.
LOL.

yeah, and then we can combine it with Bob Nobody's list and its complete.

but hey, we need a Dak ranking thread. we haven't had one in a while

Evidently, NBC isn't inclined to be a fan of the Cowboys, nor Dak . . .:omg:

Obviously, they're not totally inclined to cater to them altogether too much!

Well, then, it seems to them that Dak had best improve his game in 2022.

Half these folks ARE Joe Schmo
LMAO, I have never heard of 90% of the people sourced here for their opinions.

Honestly, the rankings of the objective members here is more important to me than 90% of these people. At least I feel I know where they're coming from in their evaluations.

I am not an X's and O's guy and depend on quite a few members here for their observations. There are some astute observers within our membership.

That's not to say the Dak Wars, Zeke Wars and whomever we like/dislike at the time Wars isn't fun.

Any of these sources begins a QB ranking, who is the first player they consider and where they'll put him? All for effect. Someone puts Prescott at 6 and wheels come off, someone puts him at 12 and the wheels come off, the objective is to get the wheels to come off.

Take a look at that video of Canty in the overrated thread and catch what he says right before he announces his most overrated and catch the reaction from the guy standing there with him. THAT, my friends, is the game and it's about time one of them fesses up that this is all about the ratings and views and nothing does that better than the Cowboys or a Cowboys player.

We got a shining example of that when the race for MVP is on between Brady and Rodgers but the lead story and the one they leaned on was Prescott's slump. Holy run it in the ground, they actually debated whether he was in a slump. Let's see here. He was playing really well and now he's not, debate over.

Booger addressed this when the story was all about Rich Dalrymple and Cameragate. He actually said that since they had pushed for the coverage incessantly, this was the rebound effect of that.

I know some take pride in that but I do not. The coverage is not for results achieved on the field. It's Kardashian coverage.

BTW, what do Kim Kardashian and Booger have in common? One has a big *** and one is a big ***.

I usually see him in the 6-8 range.
This guy seems to think he's in for a big year.

they have been working on that Oline and they got another talented RB in the draft this year.

There was something(s) beyond the stats...away from the games...significant enough for the Colts to pull the plug after only one season.
Who will fare better after the split - Indianapolis with Ryan or Wentz in D.C.?
Will be two stories (among many in the league) that will unfold this season.

I read an article years ago, back in the late 80's. It said that people over a lifetime stand in lines about 5 years of their lives if you add it up.
Not counting times you wait elsewhere.
I then had a self rule unless can't be avoided, any line longer than 3 to 5 people depending what it was for, I would return later, or it was not important enough to wait on.

Now I am getting that feel that ... how much time is wasted on reading a debating opinion lists ... :lmao: ... now that I just wast a few minutes of my time responding. And yours reading my post. :muttley:

Anyway, yeah list is about right. I guess. I didn't look at it all that much in depth. However, it was based on expectations. But I think Brady and Rodgers drop as to actual production (though that is said every year).

The Colts have one of the top lines in the NFL. Wentz also has Taylor and that run game that is pretty much unstoppable being featured every week. The gig is up, Wentz is a JAG.

It will be interesting to see how Taylor does this season with a better QB also.
Ryan past his prime but still better than Wentz.

If you want to see the impact an uber-talented QB can have on a WR, just ask Cooper Kupp.
Sure, he's a really good WR, but he went ballistic

That guy had been in the league already 4 years,

4 year average < Stafford
910 yards, 6 TDs
....so, a little better than Michael Gallo in 2020

First year w/ Stafford
1947 yards, 16 TDs

I'm curious to see how Tyreek Hill's transition goes from Mahomes to Tua

Could go opposite, and how much an impact a WR has on a QB. No, not as much of an impact. However...

I am interested to see how Mahomes and Rodgers does without Hill and Adams.
Brady without Gronk. And without Goodwin as we seen that a bit last year, if Goodwin is not there at the start of the season.

Wouldn't put Wentz in the "JAG" group- but gotta wonder about him if he doesn't settle in and be successful in D.C. for more than a couple of seasons.
