Cant believe you are actually asking that question. As if drafting a rookie, having him become great instantly, and having a SB caliber coach and team all at the same time is no big deal. LOL
Try to think a little deeper than what you are currently doing. What the Cowboys and other teams need to be doing is consistently drafting QB's like that the Pats do and developing them. Keep the competition going. If the young kid HAPPENS to be better or as good as the incumbent, high paid guy, then you trade the high paid guy and get draft picks.
But what you dont do is simply cut your franchise QB's every 4 years and start over. 15 years of horror between Aikman and Romo.
if you're referring to Goff, he wasn't great instantly. In fact, he had his struggles coming outta the gate - and especially under the vastly Overrated Jeff Fisher.
In fact there remains stories that Fisher did not even want to consider Goff, wasn't fond of him.
A far cry different than management who were totally sold on Goff and determined to get.
It wasn't until the Rams brought on Sean McVey that Goff had his best success in the NFL.
