Every so often there's a technology that shows up that is truely revolutionary and changes they way things work radically. This glass, if it is all it is purported to be, could easily be one of them. The fact that it is already on sale in Germany and will be so in England by later this year points to it being pretty viable. Not one of those 'We just discovered something cool in a lab that might do something in a decade' discoveries, but one that's out now, and apparantly is likely to be sold in a spray can at $8 a pop. Given the wide range of uses, this could be very big. Too bad for my investing instincts, the company in charge of this is family owned, so no buying up stock now...

"(PhysOrg.com) -- Spray-on liquid glass is transparent, non-toxic, and can protect virtually any surface against almost any damage from hazards such as water, UV radiation, dirt, heat, and bacterial infections. The coating is also flexible and breathable, which makes it suitable for use on an enormous array of products."

I'm sure there are some uses but I can't really think of anything I would need to coat in glass at the moment.

Cool that it works though.

I'd probably have to have a stockroom full of that stuff for repairs.
