Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports New England Patriots CB Shawn Springs' deal is worth in excess of $10.5 million over three years, a source told ESPN's John Clayton. If Springs reaches all of his playing incentives he could make as much as $13 million.



I have to admit I'm a bit surprised he got that much given has age and recent injury history.

I wonder how much a guy like Bodden would command, for example?

This is the same Pats team that signed John Lynch to a big deal and cut him before camp was over....so don't hold your breath especially if Springs shows up even a little gimpy.

Noway I pay Springs that type of coin, the Pats must be desperate or something. Very out of character for them.
