Receiver Cole Beasley was the only significant injury Friday night, but it could have been worse. Beasley injured his left foot, leaving in the third quarter after a 23-yard catch.
X-rays, though, were negative.
"I’m not sure what it really is, but I think I should be good soon," Beasley said. "I’m just happy it’s not broken."
Beasley, who missed a few days early in camp with a left quadriceps contusion, now will miss a few days while rehabbing his foot.
"You never want to go out there and get hurt when you’re starting to play well and stuff," Beasley said. "I mean, I was disappointed, but now the main thing I can focus on is just getting better."
Beasley had three catches for 49 yards, including a 15-yard touchdown pass from Kyle Orton when he beat cornerback Joselio Hanson.
"As soon I saw it was man free and I had outside leverage, I knew that I had to beat my guy and that he was probably coming to me," Beasley said of his TD catch. "I was going to be the option to go to there. I was able to beat my guy, and he made it real easy on me and threw it right in the breadbasket."
The Cowboys are hoping to have a package of plays for the 5-8, 180-pound receiver this season. He made the team as a rookie free agent and caught 15 passes for 128 yards.
