Tough crowd

Given our many holes and deficiencies this wide range of opinions on which positions need upgrading the most is expected. I think DT should have been top priority but i also think RG, DE, and CB are right up there too... so no complaints from me! IMO the trenches are hard to fill in FA or trade, much harder than RB and WR.
We’ve had scrub RBs for many seasons now.

Another season won’t matter.

Rebuild.

With Day 2 more than likely over for the Cowboys.. I figured I’d apprehensively check in to see what others were saying.

Par for the course, majority of what I’m reading is negative reviews, although most pundits and other fans are saying we’re having a pretty good draft. It’s exhausting and prob why I generally stay away from this site.

Depending on what mock “expert” your reviewing.. Dallas genuinely has drafted ‘1st Round’ talent with each of their picks. That’s pretty impressive and should be commended, As Dallas has drafted 3 starters so far. Any other team would be elated. (Not Cowboys fans)

There’s plenty of time to grab a RB. And yes, late RD RBs can make huge impacts. WR.. well, we prob will draft one late, yet might not make much of an impact. But I suspect, Dal will more than likely trade for a veteran to pair with Lamb. Personally, I didn’t think this draft was WR strong in the first place. So it make sense to me.

That said..Our draft picks will all contribute this year, which is important for this team.

Booker- will immediately fill the massive hole that Zack Martin left. How well, who knows, but he’s definitely ready for the challenge. Solidifying the OL make the entire Offense better. (Even late RD RBs look great behind solid OLs.. just mentioning)

Ezeiruaku- might be the most polished or NFL ready player in the draft and many (including Dane Brugler) considered him a 1st RD’er. Admittedly, I’m a Defense guy, so I Absolutely love this pick. We need someone else other teams have to account for other than Parsons. And again, this pick will make the entire Defense better. Not sure if he’ll be a day 1 starter.. but he’ll end up there by mid season.

Revel Jr- I honestly didn’t know much about him, although I’ve read he would have prob been the 2nd CB off the board had it not been for his injury. Also read he shoud be ready by camp.. wow. With the uncertainty of Diggs, the value, and importance of good CBs in this league.. I’d say this will prob go down at the steal of the draft. Outside his injury, I literally haven’t read one negative thing about this kid.

Say what you will about Dallas and the FO

But this has been a very good draft so far.

Stay positive my friends
You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy

I just don't see the negativity you see.
No. 1 pick was an unsexy pick but a necessary one who can both strengthen our running game and give Dak more time.
No. 1 is an outright steal in that we have an NFL-ready sack specialist.
Lad, what's not to like?
Correction: No. 2 pick was an outright steal ...

Those who can’t see the negative’s everywhere are maybe one of the culprits.

If we could get Shedeur Sanders QB Colorado..... This could be the kind of draft that turns this entire organization around in one season.

I like the guys we have drafted. Booker is a beast, Ezeiruaku is talented edge rusher and Revel is a great athlete who looks like a steal. Booker and Ezeiruaku were both captains on their college teams and known as great leaders.

My thing about judging a draft - 3 things have to happen before you truly grade a draft:
  • Wait and see the whole draft. Look at the whole group and determine how they collectively help the team. Don’t just look at individual talent. Tomorrow we will know all picks plus we also know some good UFAs that are coming.
  • Give it at least a year before judging any player individually. Maybe even two years.
  • Look at what impact the draft has on the team’s performance next season. Did they help us improve or not? For example, last year’s draft dod not in year one help us improve our season record. We didn’t make the playoffs. Not their fault alone but it wasn’t an immediate “impact draft”.
Regarding the so called “negativity of fans”…let’s just let everyone be what they choose to be on here. Most of the feelings on here are based on the last 30 years. That is understandable. Wanting to see a brighter future is understandable too. Both things can be true.

I like the Cowboys 1st and 2nd round picks. I'm TIRED though of them picking knee injury guys, so I dislike the 3rd round pick. Jerry just can't help gambling with these guys.

100%.

Best draft I can remember in a long while.

There will be plenty of RBs to choose from tomorrow. And we still have 6 picks. They stuck to BPA, which is what they should be doing. Any time they reach for need, it haunts them.

It's not a about next year. It's about building a team for the future. Well said, though. Lots of cry babies around here.

He's in freefall. Seeing him available in the 5th is looking like a real possibility.
Like I was saying yesterday, he was going to fall to the 3rd. And looks like out of it. Nobody wants to deal with the ego/headache that comes with picking him.

I think so too, but we have a lot of experts around here. Some say we drafted mid rounders. Lol
Many fans on here are miserable no matter what they do or what happens.
We know their routine of hating anything and everything.
They just can enjoy the sport of football. Or probably any sport.
They don’t even like the team the profess to be a fan of.

They flat out drafted 3 studs.

Don’t know why people feel the need to announce they’re staying away from the site. Just do it.

What do you want? For us to beg you to stay?

3rd round pick was outstanding

Very good draft. Don't listen to the turds, they were ready to hate no matter what the picks were.

I am usually over critical of their drafts but this year I have been pleasantly surprised. They get an A draft grade so far this year.
No way. Drafting a hurt cb is a joke
