Cowboys cornerback Orlando Scandrick was held out of practice with a sore hamstring Thursday, but he said he will be fine for Sunday’s game against Washington.

It’s the same hamstring that sidelined Scandrick briefly during the team’s 20-19 loss to the New York Giants in the season opener.

He practiced full on Wednesday. Scandrick said he did individual drills Thursday.

Scandrick said the hamstring injury is not related to the right knee injury that sidelined him all last season when he tore the anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments. But it likely had something to do with him not being used to playing football again after missing all of season and getting just a few snaps in the preseason.

He said the injury happened when he lost his balance after giving up a 45-yard reception to Odell Beckham.

Weird to say, only corner I actually give a dang about now is Claiborne. Scandrick looked slow when he was playing.

I never liked this dude. He's pulled 1 of the greatest con jobs ever on Jerry Jones. I'll be glad when this bum is no longer on the roster.

Typical issues after a knee injury recovery, he won't be fully healthy till probably later this season. He needs to not hurry it.
Exactly... They're rushing him back. I would rather have a 100% healthy OScan in week 4 than a hobbling version in week 1.

He didn't pull any thing on Jerry.
Actually Rob Ryan did, he said Scandrick was their best player on D. And needed to be signed long term.
So they did.
Ryan was the one who pulled the con job.

Didn't look great early in the game and then pulled the hammy - after he was beaten, badly.

Should sit until healed, IMO.

If I'm not mistaken he was having a bad camp last year before the injury also

PFT rankings in 2014 also said the same thing.

Even though this team has been an epic disappointment over the last 20+ years, it is possible for us to have a few good players and Scandrick is one of them.

Nope he shouldn't hurry it. He's probably like me and won't take no for an answer, which don't help.
