To actually throw the flag yes it is. But the input from others has a huge bearing on weather he does or not. It's really not that complicated.

so he makes the final decision on throwing a challenge.

he also decides to go for it on 4th or punt.
'
he decides when to bench a player for performance

he works the refs

shall we go on?

Are you confused as to what a forum is?

your question makes no sense.

someone claimed our head coach does nothing but clock management. if you want to continue with me, that is the discussion we are involved in.

I think the mods have been pretty clear those ******** posts don't belong here. if you want to claim Garret only does clock management and he sucks at it, go to the rant zone and rant about it.

for the rest of us, we are sick of that idiotic garbage spewed in the fan zone.

No he's not. How is it they get the ball back with over a minute remaining if we get the first down on 2nd and 1 without scoring a TD and they have to burn their first time out? That gives them one timeout left where you can run the clock down and kick the field goal.

He's only right if we run it and don't get the first down on 2nd and 1 or 3rd and 1. Which is a pathetic stance.

He is talking about running and not getting the first down.

His explanation is exactly like mine of the situation yesterday so......

I commented on your challenge post right? I actually said you were correct right? JG is the only coach who can actually throw the challenge flag.
Big whoop. You do understand that he gets info from other coaches in the booth if he should challenge or not right? Just like every other HC in the NFL.
If some one says all he does is clock management I would laugh, because if that's all he does, he's not very good at it.

That is the problem, he doesnt know he made a mistake. You, me, and millions of other fans including the announcers and commentators knew that it was a no brainer to kneel on the ball and run out the clock. Im sure even all the Deadskins fans were saying it was over. Then they saw Dallas completely screw it up. And at least we know 100% now that it was Garrett that did NOTHING as a coach to stop his team screwing it up. First thing any good coach would have done was demand they kneel on the ball. Is that no longer in Clappy the Clowns playbook?

You do realize that if he kneels 3 times and kicks the FG, the Commanders get the ball with about 35 seconds remaining. Just so you are aware, they scored a TD on the next drive in less than 35 seconds.

So what would you be saying now if that happened?

your question makes no sense.

someone claimed our head coach does nothing but clock management. .

Actually, somebody else said that Jason might need the assistance of a clock management specialist and then there was a follow-on question regarding what the rest of his sideline activities would be under that scenario...and then.....somebody got unhinged.

I swear… some of you guys look for anything and everything to make it more confusing. The way I look at it, McFadden has been playing football long enough to know to stay in bounds in that situation. By the same token, he should know to go down short of the end zone in the same situation. Like Garrett said, they practice the play. McFadden should know – and just because they practice the play – without having to be told. The guys been playing football for over 20 years… The last seven in the NFL.

If Garrett specifically had told McFadden do not score, then had Dan Bailey missed a field goal attempt, you guys would be skewering Garrett for telling McFadden not to score.

And some people look for all sorts of excuses for simply bad coaching..
