Draft one next year in rounds 3-6

Best to draft in the 1-2 although Witten proves (along with many others) that you don't have to. It's just more likely to get you what you want. That's what the stats say anyway. I love Witten and I've said for the last several years he's a first ballot HOFer. But he's a chain mover not a game changer.

Way to go Witt. This man is the epitome of what an NFL player is supposed to be. I can't wait for him to be inducted in the Hall of Fame. If you ever want to lookup the term "living legend" there will be a picture of Jason right beside the term. Congrats J.Witt. You've earned it!

More perspective: Pass attempts by QB During 12 years of their careers

Witten QB pass attempts: 7,115 passes

Irvin QB pass attempts: 5,972

A difference of 1,143 during the 12 year stretch. Michael missed a total of 31 games during his 12 year(really 10 from a games played standpoint) career. 19 during his prime, 12 after his decline.

The ACL injury essentially cost him two years of his prime. Even though I'm not sure what type of numbers he would've put up with rookie and second year quarterbacks. He was on pace for a 1,000 yard season in '89 before he tore up his knee.

Witten caught 110 passes in 2012. Tony Romo attempted 658(ridiculous amount) passes that year.

Michael caught a franchise record 111 passes in 1995. The Cowboys quarterbacks attempted 494 passes that year.

Had Michael played on a passing team, he would've done some serious flirting w a 2,000 yard season.
