The Cowboys agreed to terms with free agent defensive end Everette Brown on Monday night. They will have to release a player from the 53-player roster Tuesday when the move becomes official.
The Panthers made Brown a second-round pick in 2009. He has not played since the 2011 season when he was with the Chargers. Brown has played 31 games in his career with six career sacks.
Brown worked out for the Cowboys on Monday.
The Cowboys have been banged up iat the position with Anthony Spencer and Tyrone Crawford on injured reserve and DeMarcus Ware having missed the past two games with a thigh injury.
