George Selvie and Orlando Scandrick said they will appeal fines for illegal hits in Monday night's game.

Scandrick was fined $21,000 for an unnecessary roughness penalty on Bears receiver Brandon Marshall in the fourth quarter. Officials ruled it a hit on a defenseless receiver.

Selvie was fined $15,750 for a roughing-the-passer penalty on Bears quarterback Josh McCown for a hit below the knee. He was not fined for a 15-yard penalty he received in the third quarter for making contact with McCown's head.

"It was tough on me," Selvie said. "I’m not a guy that goes out there and plays dirty ball and tries to get penalties. But it’s just going out there and trying to make plays. It happens in football."

The Cowboys have had several other players fined since the regular season started: Safety Barry Church was fined $5,250 for throwing a football into the stands after a touchdown against the Giants; receiver Dez Bryant was fined $7,875 for a throat-slash after a touchdown against the Rams; linebacker Cameron Lawrence $21,000 for a blindside block against the Commanders; linebacker Bruce Carter was fined $15,750 for a horse collar against the Saints; and linebacker Ernie Sims was fined $7,875 for a facemask against the Saints.
