I'm getting real old with this copper, crowder, barber etc ST Kickoff unit? Polite on that too? I know Barnes was a wrecking ball last year.

Now its we can't dress Price for Copper? What a crock.

I see the Patriots - they have front liners out there.

Get all our DB's, S's, LB's OUT THERE!

Glenn
Henry

Would be 100% better than Copper. They are defensive minded hitters. Not backup WR's.

Roy should be coming down in that wave too. And I don't want to hear injury. ST can win or lose a game.

That many snaps would detract from their effectiveness on defense. Simple, really.

Cowboys have used front line players in the past as well on special teams.

Rodney Harrison plays STs. He seems to do just fine.

Darren Woodson was on most of the special teams. Roy was on the kick off coverage teams in the past, but I didn't pay enough attention to see if he was out there last Sunday.

Send the tape to Parcells, with your suggestion. Who knows: maybe he's never considered the possibility and you'll be able to be claim credit for showing him the light.

I think he is considering it now when he says Davis will be on special teams. I just know Bill will not settle with giving the other team the ball on the 50 or better.

When was the last time Dallas scored a special teams touchdown during the regular season? I'm not counting Randall Williams gift from the Eagirls. I know
Bill spends alot of time on ST but it hasn't translated on the field. I think we've regressed on ST.

It is pretty bad when your kicker was tied for the most tackles on special teams.

Yeah, we certainly don't want Cortez to become known for being a "hitting machine." :D

Funny most jumped on Lynn Scott, always wanting him out of here yet he was one of the better special team players on this team.

I looked at two kickoffs. Here is what I came up with, not easy to see.

Cortez, Copper, Pierce, Polite, Roy, Shanle, Fowler, Reeves, Barber, N. Jones, Fujita

Can anyone else confirm that? That was what I could see from two kickoffs. If BP changed anything up, thats out the window.

Problem is, just like Parcells said today, Copper was one of the few guys who was actually making plays on Sunday. Take him out and you've just weakened an already weak coverage team.

Parcells also pretty much clarified what the problem was against San Diego: Marion Barber. He made a couple of huge mistakes... And not only did he not do the right thing himself, he actually took a couple of our guys out as well.

I do agree about playing the starters more, though. They might get a little more tired, but tough, do it anyway.

Even more, I find it odd that as much emphasis as Parcells places on special teams, we haven't been very good at it in the three years he's been here. In certain areas we have, but overall, there always seems to be a problem with something there.

Heck yeah he was. Not bad at safety either.

Leave it to Nors to diss the second best special teams player on the team.

How does anyone know GLenn and/or Henry would do better at what Copper does? That's like saying Terry Glenn would be a better punt returner then Deion Sanders just cuz he's an offensive player and handles the ball more.

Copper is doing fine. No need to call him out.

Edit: Although I must say, it's obvious Nors has an alterior motive here. I'm sure everyone has figured it out too. At least I'd assume they figured it out.

Yeah. A lot of us want to see Price get some action (Nors perhaps more than most, given his boy Bledsoe's past comfort level with him). No reason to go off on Copper, though.
