Dallas Cowboys rookie quarterback Dak Prescott had two words for why he’s started his NFL career without an interception through the first four games: Good fortune.
Prescott knows he got away with a poor throw on the third play of last Sunday’s game at San Francisco, throwing the ball right into the hands of 49ers safety Eric Reid. Fortunately for Prescott and the Cowboys, Reid dropped it.
“Good fortune,” Prescott said, smirking. “There was one dropped on the third play of the game, so good fortune.”
With that, Prescott has 132 pass attempts without an interception and is closing in on Tom Brady’s NFL record of 162 pass attempts without an interception to start a career.
Philadelphia’s Carson Wentz is also in the mix, as he’s started his career with 102 pass attempts without an interception through three games (the Eagles had a bye last week).
