Dallas Cowboys defensive end DeMarcus Ware has never missed a game in his career. He's not about to let that streak go down without a fight, despite a quad injury that will keep him out of practice all week.
Ware said he feels much better and stronger than he did earlier in the week. He plans to travel to with the team to Philadelphia and make a final decision before the game.
"It's two times better than what it was," Ware said. "I do have some push. I actually have been running in the weight room. It's fing pretty good to me personally."
Ware said he's not focused on keeping the streak alive. His focus is on helping the Cowboys win. If he can't be a effective, he won't play.
Ware does admit feeling good about his chances. And whether he plays Sunday against the Eagles or not, he said he won't be out long and certainly not three to four weeks as some have reported.
"No, I'm not going to be out three or four weeks," he said. "I don't know where that came from. Somebody said it. I know my recovery is pretty fast and I'm feeling pretty good today."
If Ware can't go, Kyle Wilber will start in his place.
