Just throwing out an exercise to see where everyone stands on possible first round prospects that could be in play at 17 to the cowboys.
Stack the following prospects from favorite to least favorite:
AJ Epenesa DE Iowa
Javon Kinlaw DT South Carolina
Henry Riggs WR Alabama
Grant Delpit S LSU
Xavier McKinney S Alabama
Kristian Fulton CB LSU
CJ Henderson CB Florida

My stack would go as the following:
Javon Kinlaw
AJ Epenesa
Henry Riggs
Grant Delpit
CJ Henderson
Xavier McKinney
Kristian Fulton

Is it the lack of run support with Henderson that bugs you?

Yeah, just the total lack of effort he puts into it. You don't have to be good at run support to be a great CB, but when I see him jogging to avoid the play or sticking out his arm so he doesn't have to meet the back head-on, that sounds alarm bells in my head. It's not even about the run defense, it's about the "play when I want to play", "I'm not getting my hands dirty" attitude attached to it.

Being soft and lazy is how Taco failed, and it's how Trysten Hill is failing right now. Both of those guys had the talent to make it (well... Taco was a little questionable IMO), but the mental part is what did them in. I'm not gambling on a guy who's already showing aggressive signs of laziness on tape.

Mustard or no mustard?

Probably no mustard, otherwise the sandwich's draft stock would be higher.

Made a couple gifs showing CJ Henderson's tackling effort. He likes jogging, and he does not like hitting.

I think we may be surprised by who drops into our laps at 17 but a lot depends on the combine. I like McKinney way better than Delpit. Alabama players tend to be better football players even though LSU players are better athletes. I hope they don't wind up picking either of these CBs in the first. If Kinlaw and Ruggs are off the board at 17 and all that's left is the rest of these players listed, then I would try to trade down and get another pick in the 3rd round. Taking McKinney early in the 2nd would be better value, especially if we get a high 3rd and something else to go with him.

I don't like Epenesa in the 1st at 17. I have a bad feeling he will be just okay and never make a real impact. I am not sure he will even contribute in his rookie year.

Unfortunately Kinlaw has moved up into the top 10.
Happens every year. Anyone I have my eye on suddenly shoots up the board..

Searched "CJ Henderson Miami" to make sure I'm not out on an island here. This tweet was posted during the Florida-Miami game.

Its looking like Kinlaw wont be in play. Once his knee gets cleared i think him and Brown will be top 10 players. So im taking him out.

1. Henry Ruggs III
2. Trade Down if they can
3. Grant Delpit
4. AJ Epenesa
5. Xavier McKinney
6. Kristian Fulton
7. CJ Henderson
