Based on the coloration of that field I'd say it was natural grass. Turf would have a uniform coloring throughout but that one has variations. But it could just be the lighting or something. Not a big deal but I would hope that the turf we will use looks better than that does (if that is turf).
It looks synthetic to me. You can see all the tire marks from the vehicles they're driving on there, and it looks like it's been vacuumed. :D

Great pics bb, as always.

I would just like to say to anyone and everyone who had a hand in the design of this stadium...thank you.

Oh my gosh the whole place is a work of art.

that stadium is so slick

I walked by the Raven's stadium last weekend and chuckled, and it's only 9 years old

It could be but it could also be from the mowers. I don't know and it really doesn't mater since, whatever it is now, it isn't what we will be playing on.

Gaudy.

It looks like something you would see in Vegas. I'm surprised there aren't stripper poles in the lobbies.

Don't like it.

Scrap it and start over.

Of course I'm being facetious, but there are times when I don't get Jerry. He builds this excessive, metallic Taj Mahal, and a few miles away, he had his most precious resource (the players) practicing in a death trap from Billy Bob's Bargain Tents.

That's because Irvin, Pac and Killa didn't design the place. ;)

Now come on. Do you really blame Jerry for that? Or at least claim he was in some way being cheap?
Claim incompetence on his part. The buck does stop with him. The fact that this event occurred is either his fault or the fault of someone he hired no doubt.
But I can't believe he decided to "go cheap" on that facility and knowingly put his players, staff and the entire organization in harms way.

BTW- Add himself to that list since I'm certain he planned to spend a lot of time there.

The stadium is absolutely friggen awesome.

Looking at those pictures a thought came to my mind.

There's no doubt that this stadium has no equal. But time goes on and new stadiums go up.

Just how long might it be til this facility is surpassed? When may something better, bigger and more beautiful be constructed?

Any guesses? I'm thinking it may be a loooooong time.

Football stadiums aren't supposed to look as "charming" or "dated" as their baseball cousins. Lambeau aside, most
of the newer facilities look like pimped out warehouses or spaceships, although Ford's Field does have a bit of a baseball look by incorporating bricks.

The fit and finish of the interior, especially in the quad/lobby areas is just amazing! It looks more like an upscale office building than a stadium. And those chairs in the luxury suites; better than my easy chair at home!

I think it is interesting that they kept clear glass between the suites so you can see people in the other suites..

Also.. Are those flat areas all standing areas that you can watch from, one on each endzone and two on each sideline?

I'm still very curios as to what the wind will do in this place with all the random openings and the option of opening both ends of the stadium.. or is it just one end?

We probably will have to watch either the Giants, Eagles or Skins, win the Superbowl in our stadium. Oh joy!

Don't say things like that and jinx and put it out there!

When will the put Cowboys in the endzones? It looks naked without that.

I wish they did look more like baseball stadiums. I like bricks ... not the spaceship look.

I liked the look of Soldier Field in Chicago with the pillars and the LA Coliseum.

Actually, I heard that it was a natural grass field for a soccer match/tournament this month and that the "Real Turf" (or whatever it is called now) won't be put in until later.

According to this article there will be 3 different turfs, all artifical, but a natural turf will be put in for a soccer match on July 26.

The turf in the pictures is artifical for the soccer matches July19.

Ohhh, I wonder if those white flat areas with chairs are the accessible seating areas? There is enough room for a wheelchair and companion seating and spaces missing between the chairs. As I scan the photos I am looking for what could and couldn't be accessible seating. I'm obviously not sitting in the blue seats. Those white areas are wider for room for a wheelchair to get around. Hmmmm. This might now be so bad after all.

At the Monday Night Eagles game last year I asked about accessible seating since at Texas Stadium it was front row endzone and I was told it was not going to be like it is now which I was pretty bummed about. I loved those seats. You can't get much better than front row endzone for $60. I got a letter a few months ago stating that I no longer have to go through a lottery process for tickets anymore because there are plenty of accessible seats in the new stadium and just go through Ticketmaster. That'll be a plus because when you are flying to the game waiting for lottery tickets can get to be quite nerve wracking.

I have a few questions. I see from one photo that the endzone seating is in.

1) Is that seating removeable? Thought I heard it was.

2) How long does it take? And where do you keep 20,000 seats?

3) What's the plan for those removable seats for Cowboy home games?

4) Will they use them if the demand for tickets is there? Or only for special games or playoffs?
