I guess filming started last week. Pretty good shape for 59 years old.

He is in good shape, body-wise... but his face looks every bit of 60... I can't believe he is adding another movie to this franchise...

Yeah.... mmmkay. Little 5'9" Rocky winning anything at 50+? That's believable.

Too bad he isn't as big and thick as George Foreman. Then maybe he could pull off the Butterbean beer belly of iron approach.

C'mon TBC, he's the "underdog" again. How was he supposed to defeat the 7'4" Russian, Ivan Drago?

You all make fun of him, but I bet most of you go watch the movie. I know I will. I'll think of it as a "Goodbye" movie.

No that was what Rocky 5 was for remember that garbage? This is just dumb IMHO. Hollywood is crying because they made no money in 05. Well DUH!! Look at the crap movies Hollywood is putting out! How anyone could buy into this "film" is beyond me.

Actually I think there's been some good movies out, but they didn't advertise very well so they didn't make a lot of money.

Take Serenity for example. It got very good ratings from the critics and the people who watched it but they really only advertised on the SciFi channel so a lot of people didn't really hear anything about it before it came out. It was easily better then any of the last three Star Wars movies, that's for sure.

Other than Rocky 1, I tend to avoid his movies like the plague. Can't stand him.

There's something about a known draft dodger making millions as a super Vietnam vet that just rubs me the wrong way.

During the Vietnam war he taught girl's soccer in Sweden.

Yeah but I read that he got hit with the ball on a few occasions...

Absolutely no reason to make this movie. All parties involved know it.

Studios are dying for action franchises right now. The days of Stallone/Arnold/Van Damme/Seagal are done. There's no one out there to replace them (they tried with Vin Diesel but no dice). It also doesn't help that studios are taking less and less chances on fringe movies that may not appeal to every given audience. This is why you see so many films geared towards a target demographic.

Make no mistake, Stallone is an excellent screenwriter, but another Rocky is simply unnecessary after the debacle of Rocky 5.

And Rambo 4 is a probable go too though one wonders why.

Hos, how did you find out about Stallone being a draft dodger?

He's been one of my favorite actors (although I recognize he's not the best by far)...this is just the first time I've heard of him in that capacity. I always thought he was very patriotic...?

Hollywood needs to stop remaking old movies and tv shows.....some originality would be nice.

It was actually Switzerland, not Sweden. My bad.

This is not where I learned it, just looked it up quick.

He's also a big time anti gun spokesman.

One of the first places I heard it was the stand up comedy of Bobcat Goldthwaite. He used to do a bit about wanting to taunt Sly over it so he could cash his monthly check after Sly beat him up.

The first place I heard it though was from a Viet nam vet who was outside the theater protesting the movie. I didn't buy my ticket. I've seen it on TV.

Wow...didn't know any of that.

At least he's not a liberal. ;) and he does say that he loves his country.
