What's the point of pre-ordering?

Is this a real question? lol. Sorry I just don't know if that's serious or what. I'll answer it as if you're actually curious.

Just right out of the gate I can put 5-10 down on a Pre-order and then pay it out over months, instead of just making sure I have 65.00 the night it comes out.

On top of that generally speaking pre-orders will come with some sort of extras. Generally they're not anything super great, or important, they're just something extra for doing so.

A few examples for Pre-ordering Black Ops 3 and Rainbow Six: The Siege I received Beta Access that you can not get without pre-ordering them.

For Hardline when I pre-ordered it I had access to a few guns that, to my knowledge, are not available in the game without pre-ordering the game.

Last year because I pre-ordered AW I was able to pick it up 24 hours before release date. Pre-order people were given a 24 hour, double XP, amount of time before anyone else was able to get the game.

Those are the ones I remember for pre-ordering. I know I got some minor stuff for pre-ordering The Evil Within, Far Cry 4, and I am getting access to something (I don't recall what off the top of my head) for pre-ordering Batman Arkham Knight.

This, Rainbow 6 , Doom (My most wanted game) and Fallout 4.

I will be eating pork n' beans , rice and cheap protein for the next couple of months it looks like...

These should all be great games. I saw some Rainbow Six alpha game play on Youtube a couple nights ago. One of the youtube players whose famous, I guess you'd say, for doing games on Youtube was invited to do the alpha and was allowed to upload footage. It looks like it is going to be really good.

Doom looks like it's going to be amazing if for no other reason than the blood and gore is just off the charts amazing with the way they've done it for that game.

So many fantastic games coming out over the next several months to a year.

No aim down sight.

Sounds like whining, maybe an insignificant complaint.. but this fact alone has ensured I will not pre-order, or buy it until I hear massively good reviews.
Just give me Battlefield in the Starwars universe please. This isn't it, though hopefully it's close.

Yeah, I know. I'm just stirring the pot!

I've played most of the Battlefield series, and never bought DLC. I still got my money's worth. I've been playing the beta of this game for 2-3 days, and it's as advertised.

Battlefront? It definitely looks pretty kick***. I've been thinking about getting it, but my biggest issue is I don't have all that much time to play games. Usually when I do it's like maybe 4-5 hours a month. I've bought several games over the last six months, but I can't think of one I actually believe I've played enough to be worth what I paid for them.

Yeah. I hear ya on that. These type of games are hard, because the learning curve is a little steep, and I usually get destroyed by 12 year olds. Still fun though.
