Well Star Wars is universal. World wide fandom. And with Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill on board, no doubt people will be flocking to see it.

kids aren't into star wars like they are dinosaurs. I doubt girls have much interest at all in the Star Wars movie. And giving how aweful the last round of movies were, it isn't breaking a record.

I agree kids aren't into Star Wars like they used to. And given the latest material from Star Wars Rebels it's not like they are winning over many new kids anytime soon. The Clone Wars was decent, my son watched it and I went a long for the ride. This new kid show is unwatchable.

The Movies will be decent..the fan base will support. But like others have said...won't touch Jurassic World.

Agree with world wide audience.

Star Wars is still scifi. Doesn't appeal to all. Jurassic would appeal to more.

I just see more of a fanbase for Star Wars than JW. Star Wars The Phantom Menace, many people agree was a terrible movie, made just over $1 billion (1999). If people wanted to see that, pretty sure they want to see the new one with Fisher, Ford, and Hamill reprising their roles.

1 billion in totality. That's different.

Opening weekend = the phantom menace = $65 million?

It's cool. We just disagree.

Dinosaurs - General (audience)

The general audience also likes sci-fi. Top grossing films of all time, many are sci-fi and/or fantasy.

#1 - Avatar
#3 - Avengers
#5 - Avengers Age of Ultron
#6 - Harry Potter
#8 - Iron Man 3
#9 - Transformers
#10 - The Lord of the Rings

I think Ant-Man will do well. Not in JWorld, Avengers, or Star Wars territory but being such an original hero movie, and the reaction from the trailers, it will be a hit.

I like Paul Rudd's humor in a superhero role more than Reynolds.

#10 - The Lord of the Rings - fantasy

Fair enough... Mostly fantasy though if you look at last 20 years or so

I'm thinking the release date won't help Star Wars. Just before Christmas speaks long term box office, but not opening weekend. Schools should be out, but it's not like Summer time.

It was a good movie unless you saw the the first one 20 years ago which was more or less the same movie

So you take a poll for everyone on the street?
