If thats street, he's open when he makes his cut, but Weeden would have to had anticipated the throw. If that balls out before he comes out of his break its an easy catch. It looks to me like he was eyeing Dunbar the entire time.

The gfy reveals the player's jersey number to be #19, Butler. The image is during the throwing motion, so it's during the cut as well. Weeden went short when Butler was open within his line of vision. I should have quoted the post above mine as I don't really care about this play.

I'm on my phone so can't see the number. I wonder if the coaches were telling him to look short. While the one play is only a microcosm of the game, I suspect once the coaches film is out we'll see much more of this.
