Gaede;3669757 said:This may or not be important, but do we currently have a QB on the practice squad? Just wondering in case Kitna and McGee ended up getting hurt. Considering our luck this year....
CATCH17;3669769 said:Nothing but Wildcat if both QB's go down.
craig71;3669773 said:I don't think I would start McGee. Kitna has a better grasp of the offense and that should allow for a better evaluation of players such as Dez. I think McGee needs some playing time this season, I just think I would wait a little longer before throwing him out there. Craig

OL = Free, Bright, Costa, Brewster, & Young
Hostile;3669722 said:I would send a message to the veterans on this team this week.
I would waive Barron and bring up Travis Bright. Bring up Brewster to fill the spot left by Jason Williams
OL = Free, Bright, Costa, Brewster, & Young
Backfield = Choice
Start Dez
Start McGee
DL = Lissemore, Brent, & Ratliff
LB = Butler, James, Lee, & Ware
S = McCray & Church
Yes, I'm serious. If the veterans want their jobs back tell them to take them back.
CATCH17;3669777 said:Definetely...
If you're going to give him snaps this year i'd tell him to start preparing for the Saints on Thanksgiving.
sonnyboy;3669748 said:Like the idea of going young. But I don't know what Kitna has done to deserve to be benched.
I'd go young around Kitna if for only one reason. And that's that poor play from the QB spot just kills the whole team. See 2nd and 3rd Q's of the Giants game.
If you play McGee and he's terrible, you won't get good work in with all the other youngsters you're playing.
Perhaps I'd look to play McGee for part of the game.
craig71;3669782 said:That's a short week. If it were me I would wait until after Thanksgiving, he would have a few extra days to prepare himself before the next game.
Craig
CATCH17;3669800 said:Yeah I just don't want his 1st start to be on the road.
Bill Wooten;3669798 said:Would poor QB play really matter at this point?
If you go with this approach (which I'm all for), you're not playing to win the game. You're playing to send a message to the vets that their jobs are not guaranteed and evaluate your younger talent.
This approach is not in the best interest of this season, it is in the best interest of the future of the franchise.
My guess is Goodell would throw a fit if Dallas did this on Sunday Night Football. Just one more reason to do it.
Hoofbite;3669838 said:I don't wanna start McGee.
Dallas isn't in the market for a QB of the future right now (not like McGee would be the guy anyhow) and I think it's foolish to basically raise the white flag just to see if a guy is backup material.
Not to mention he isn't ready. He barely survived camp.
aikemirv;3669839 said:Actually yes. There would be utter frustration!
One saving grace from Sunday was the fact that as bad as the D played, if Miles, Felix and Roy hang onto 3 balls that were right in their mits and Barber extends the ball we are in the game and it is watchable as a fan. I stayed for the whole game because I drove 19 hours to get there. If I was from Dallas I probably would have been gone at the end of the 3rd!
