Start The Pups

I would waive Barron and bring up Travis Bright. Bring up Brewster to fill the spot left by Jason Williams

OL = Free, Bright, Costa, Brewster, & Young

Backfield = Choice

Start Dez

Start McGee

DL = Lissemore, Brent, & Ratliff

LB = Butler, James, Lee, & Ware

S = McCray & Church

Yes, I'm serious. If the veterans want their jobs back tell them to take them back.

Love it!

(except maybe the McGee part.)

Who's to say the rooks aren't as unmotivated as the vets?

Hos, I think we will give salty vets every single opportunity to fail before we bench them. Unless the physical decline is so apparent to coaches watching film, their jobs are safe until December maybe.

At the going rate, desperation will set in and rooks with will get their chances in the coming weeks.

Contracts. On one hand - Spears, Hatcher, Bowen, Ball, Sensabaugh are in the last year of their contract. Do you give them every last chance to prove themselves ... or do you give the rooks backing them up a good chance to prove that they are better than them? Dunno.

Train wreck factor. Does anyone really want to see any of our QBs try to survive behind a line of Costa, Brewster, Young and assorted greenhorns? Or Choice or Lonyae Miller run behind such a line?

I like the idea. We may not improve our odds of winning but at least you know these guys will give you everything on game day.

I wouldn't. We have to figure out how to win next year. This means evaluating which veterans are starting caliber strong performers.

I may selectively play some 'pups' that they think are close to being starting caliber, but not this many just for the sake of starting 'pups'.

Also, the Mcgee thing continues to be silly to me. I don't think Jerruh is even sure he is a viable backup. He isn't being groomed as a future starter. There is no reason to play him.

I think Felix has run hard I like to see Felix/Choice with that young oline Felix I think should start and Choice be the guy for 3rd back and the change of pace back. I think Felix has run hard and has gotten 1-2 yards where it should have been a 4 yard loss

If we had 4 CBs I would sit Newman and Jenkins. Start Hurd over Austin.

I get the reason for considering benching Jenkins. Benching Newman serves no purpose in my opinion other than pissing off a guy that has been playing well. The guy has also been playing injured. Pissing off the guys who are playing bad seems like a better idea to me.

I think we still need to be smart and careful. The guys that are working hard, playing with intensity and focus (yes, there are guys out there that do that), they should still start and get their playing time. I'm not into benching guys that play hard because a lot of the team is filled with overrated prima donnas. Reward hard working guys, punish those who are not.

I wouldn't bring up Brewster because I get the feeling he was released because he didn't work hard and that they sent him a message. Keep him on the P-S for now and see how he responds. Move Bright up. Barron is a freaking waste.

OL = Free, Bright, Costa, Brewster, & Young

I don't have a problem with Gurode so far this year. If anything I'd be a little averse to starting Young at RT. We can't afford for another QB to go down and I don't want to ruin Young's confidence, which in part is what I believe ruined Rob Petitti.

Backfield = Choice

He hasn't looked good this year, but I'd give him a shot to put up or shut up. And let's follow the rule of STOP ADDING WEIGHT TO SPEEDY TAILBACKS. It didn't work for Julius and isn't working for Felix.

Start Dez

Tell Dez to stop showing up late for practice and he will start.

Start McGee

Let's get him some reps first.

DL = Lissemore, Brent, & Ratliff

I wouldn't mind that, although I'm fine with Spears. I'd prefer Brent/Lissemore, Ratliff, Bowen.

LB = Butler, James, Lee, & Ware

I'm not nutty about James having to cover if Lee supposedly can't cover. I would've benched Spencer 2 weeks ago. His undisciplined play is alarming and really annoying.

S = McCray & Church

I don't think Sensy is a problem. Ball is, but I hate hearing that we should cut him. We just need him to go back to his regular role and get a FS that is like, good and athletic and stuff.

Cowher would do this.
let me correct myself. Cowher wouldnt have to cause he would not be 1-6. lol.

Let's stop punting the rest of the year while we're at it. I've always wanted to see a bottom-feeder try that. If you can't do it as a lame-duck, you can't do it at all.

Hey are you Jimmy Johnson.....:bow:
I agree 100%...who wants to play to make a difference, not just go through the motions.

I definately want to see McGee in there. Nothing against Kitna. but we need to see what McGee can do in a real game. Let him learn. As Kitna won't be here next year. And I do like Kitna as a QB.

It will be for the better.
I just fired my entire staff, except 1 person, and hired all new. And it's working out better. It was long over due for a change, just as this team is too.

At least they'll give effort. Thats better than what the other group has done.

If I was Kitna i'd rather have 5 Olinemen in front of me playing hard than 5 going through the motions.

Plus he'll get in great shape. What, with all that extra running. :)

I think Dez started last week

the O line

OL = Free, Bright, Costa, Brewster, & Young

not sure about but its time to bring all of them up

Bright maybe for Bigg or Koziers spot

Brewster for Bigg

Yoiung needs a year

see if they can handle it

an yes lets play Choice lets see what he is made of

let him back all of his talk let him play in more than three games

I think the readon he did so well in 08 is because nobody had tape on him

and the DC thought lets let the rookie beat us - not Romo

plus he was playing tired D's

Just curious Hos, what are your feelings on Felix and Barber?

I agree that we should be seeing more of Choice.

Couldn't agree more, makes perfect sense which is why it won't happen

I love Barber, but I would not bring him back. I'd draft a kid to be the 3rd guy and save the salary. if we can get something for him in the off season, great. If not, oh well. Move on.

I would start Choice to see if he can jump start the run game and learn to pick up blitzes better because right now he doesn't.

the best thing about this idea.........it would cut short the performance bonus's alot of the vets have built in

things easily acheived things like downs played, quarters played etc.....

hit em' in the pocket book
