Start The Pups

I love the idea, but ain't no way Jerry's gonna write a bunch of big time game checks to watch them sit the bench.

I would love to see it too. But I think Jerry is still operating under the delusion that we're going to win our last 9 games and make the playoffs. I'm all for optimism but there comes a time when you just have to be realistic.

Time to see if we have anyone special with the backups , might as well use the rest of the season for something useful//////

The thing I like best about this idea is earning the job back.

Which is probably the reason it won't happen. Who has to earn anything under Wade? The only ones to ever lose a starting job based on performance is Orlando Scandrick and Nick Folk.

That would require some cajones.

Unfortunately, our head coach has none.

Huh, none? Then do a U-tube of you walking up to his face and informing him that his wife is wearing YOUR boxers....

Hos, your O line setup is something I've wanted since about week 3. I'd love to see it. Can't do any worse really and even if they do not do well they get reps for the future.

I would send a message to the veterans on this team this week.

I would waive Barron and bring up Travis Bright. Bring up Brewster to fill the spot left by Jason Williams

OL = Free, Bright, Costa, Brewster, & Young

Backfield = Choice

Start Dez

Start McGee

DL = Lissemore, Brent, & Ratliff

LB = Butler, James, Lee, & Ware

S = McCray & Church

Yes, I'm serious. If the veterans want their jobs back tell them to take them back.

I agree. I posted this opinion a couple of weeks ago...

I'm with you...sadly I think your post has more spine than the Cowboys coaches

I like it, Hostile.

You come up with some good stuff when you stop drinking the koolaid.

Roger that. I'm all for it. What could it hurt?

I do think we'll see that when we're "mathematically out of it".

If we don't, we're shooting ourselves in the foot.

I might add McGee in there too. Although I'm not a fan, why waste our time looking at Kitna if we're not going to have a chance to win?

I wouldn't play McGee until the Thanksgiving game at least and thats assuming you think he is ready to take NFL snaps.

If he isn't ready to take NFL snaps then there is no reason to put him on the field even in a down year.

The reason you do this is because he makes for good trade bait. Someone may want to look at him like they did with Matt Moore.

I don't drink koolaid. Or the bile you drink.

We didn't trade Matt Moore, we tried to slide him to the practice squad and it didn't work.

Besides, throwing McGee to the wolves when he isn't ready isn't going to increase his trade value any. Most likely would hurt it.

You can't go lower than 0 trade value, can you?

This is true, but it certainly doesn't make sense to try and increase trade value (or create it) by throwing a guy to the wolves.

Besides, I'm not sure what the point of trying to increase his trade value wold be anyway. The Cowboys drafted him as a project who they knew would take time to develop, but who they thought had the physical skills to become an NFL QB, so why would we suddenly want to bail on that plan?

Yeah, I don't see much upside in playing him right now either. I think he's a legitimate long term backup prospect, but I wouldn't really mind getting a pick for him either.
