Obviously we snatched Joseph in the second round but, do you think Quinn and company prepare to throw him to the wolves in a starting role? Or do you see the front office making a trade/ sign FA?
Thoughts?

I definitely expect Joseph to be among the top 3 CBs, which is essentially your starting alignment on defense these days.

I honestly believe that unless Joseph looks awful in training camp and pre season, that he will be one of the top 3 corners.

I could see a situation where Anthony Brown is on the outside in base defense, and then slides to the slot in nickel, while Joseph then goes outside.

But essentially. Joseph will be a starter.

As of right now I think Anthony Brown, Lewis and Diggs are your starting corners.

I think for Joseph to sneak into that top 3 he's going to have to have a camp like Diggs did last year.

Dan Quinn is auditioning for a head coaching job. He's trying to rebuild his his portfolio up...is he going to be willing to do that with a rookie corner over some veterans? Time will tell but I Don't think so.

They'll go with what they have unless they all suck during training camp and preseason. Then they may pick up one via trade or final cuts.

Well there was not much of a camp last year so that should not be hard!

Yes I think Quinn will.start him if he earns it. Kevin Smith took a few games if I recall to crack the lineup. Not saying he is Kevin Smith it is more of hope.

@Cowboys224lyfe I don’t see the Cowboys bringing in any more DBs barring a barrage of injuries at CB or safety.

If I were GM, I would tell Quinn this is all you are getting. Make it work. Plenty of talent and plenty of pieces to move around. Choose your roster well.

Tell the DBs that they will sink or swim. Diggs did it. No reason Joseph can’t do it. If Joseph is not ready, Lewis and Brown are available along with many others.

Got a good mix of rookies and experience at all positions. No excuses.

Joseph will start at outside CB opposite Diggs. Book it.

He's starting day 1 and will play through some growing pains like Diggs last season.
