Just heard Jane Slater on NFL Network say that we'll be seeing:

Peters at LT
Tyler Smith at LG

Conner McGovern at Center

ZackMaertin at RG (of course)
Tyron Smith at RT

I hadn't seen anything about moving Tyler Smith to to LG and having Peters at T.

Not sure I like that change.

Tyler Smith has been excellent this year at LT and Peters had already been playing some at LG during this season and doing well.

Uh, that is what they did to finish the game last week.

With Steele and Biadasz out those are the best 5 O-Linemen they could put on the field. Really the only possible variation would be to have Tyron and Peters switch OT spots

I wonder how many snaps Peters gives you. Or has he been limited to be fresh in this role

I think they are the best 5
The argument would be changing more pieces than just simply put Peters at guard and have just two changes

Hopefully Farniok gets some work at C. Would be great if he could shore up that position while Biadasz heals so everyone else can go back to their natural positions
I think hes been hurt

Exactly, bro. It would be smart by the Cowboys to give Farniok some game reps at Center just in case Biadasz takes more than the 1st round of the playoffs to heal from his high ankle sprain. Whether Joe Philbin and Mike McCarthy are wise enough to do it this Sunday is the question.

This is the best lineup for this team.

One, Tyler Smith hasn't been "excellent" at LT. He's been good, especially for a rookie, but he's had his growing pains, which is to be expected for a guy who was basically put out at LT with little warning and practice time.

Secondly, you put the best OL on the field that you can for the playoffs. That is very likely one with Peters at LT and Smith at LG. There is probably not much difference between Peters and Smith at LT at this point however, there is a significant difference with Smith at LG compared to Farniok or whoever else they try to run out there.

This is a no brainer move IMO.

The only real question is which combo is best at LT and LG. Peters has played T almost his entire career and was very good at it, so it makes sense to put him outside. Smith has played G before and practiced it during the preseason. I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to it during the game but some people said Smith really struggled when moved to LG. Hopefully a long week of practice together improved this.

Farniok is in his 21 day window so could get a chance to play. Would just be to be prepared as a backup. He isn't going to play ahead of McGovern, Biadasz, Peters or Smith. Maybe at Center he would be ahead of McGovern.
