ZackMaertin at RG (of course)

Is that Zack's evil identical twin who steals his helmet at games and goes in and gets holding calls? Happens about once a year. Security can't tell the difference.

Just heard Jane Slater on NFL Network say that we'll be seeing:

Peters at LT
Tyler Smith at LG

Conner McGovern at Center

ZackMaertin at RG (of course)
Tyron Smith at RT

I hadn't seen anything about moving Tyler Smith to to LG and having Peters at T.

Not sure I like that change.

Tyler Smith has been excellent this year at LT and Peters had already been playing some at LG during this season and doing well.

I agree inexperience right next to each other is a bad combination.

One, Tyler Smith hasn't been "excellent" at LT. He's been good, especially for a rookie, but he's had his growing pains, which is to be expected for a guy who was basically put out at LT with little warning and practice time.

Secondly, you put the best OL on the field that you can for the playoffs. That is very likely one with Peters at LT and Smith at LG. There is probably not much difference between Peters and Smith at LT at this point however, there is a significant difference with Smith at LG compared to Farniok or whoever else they try to run out there.

This is a no brainer move IMO.

I was going to say it would be more of a "no-brainer" to put Tyron at LT, and Peters at RT.. But that's just because Tryon is such a natural at LT that he doesn't really need to practice a whole lot there. He's a HOF level player, so he has it down by now. For the life of me, I can't figure this one out. It just looks stronger to me that way on paper. I think it would also look better on the field, but that's just me.

It's not hard. Peters has basically been a LT his whole life as well and in fact is just better there than he is at RT. Smith can play RT better than Peters.

The lineup with Peters at LT and Smith at RT with the other Smith at LG is the best lineup you can roll out there.

I wonder how many snaps Peters gives you. Or has he been limited to be fresh in this role

That's my concern. Peters has always been a big man but he's bigger than ever now, and 40 years old. Can he play 4 solid quarters or will he tire late?

I guess we'll find out.
