Starting Oline according to Jane Slater

The only real question is which combo is best at LT and LG. Peters has played T almost his entire career and was very good at it, so it makes sense to put him outside. Smith has played G before and practiced it during the preseason. I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to it during the game but some people said Smith really struggled when moved to LG. Hopefully a long week of practice together improved this.

Farniok is in his 21 day window so could get a chance to play. Would just be to be prepared as a backup. He isn't going to play ahead of McGovern, Biadasz, Peters or Smith. Maybe at Center he would be ahead of McGovern.
He’s much better at center than guard for sure
Hopefully he’s able to be the backup this week but till Biadasz comes back I think they will stick with MCGovern unless he has some snap issues

One, Tyler Smith hasn't been "excellent" at LT. He's been good, especially for a rookie, but he's had his growing pains, which is to be expected for a guy who was basically put out at LT with little warning and practice time.

Secondly, you put the best OL on the field that you can for the playoffs. That is very likely one with Peters at LT and Smith at LG. There is probably not much difference between Peters and Smith at LT at this point however, there is a significant difference with Smith at LG compared to Farniok or whoever else they try to run out there.

This is a no brainer move IMO.
Personally I like throwing Tyron back at LT Tyler at LG and Jason Peters at RT. But thats me.

Just heard Jane Slater on NFL Network say that we'll be seeing:

Peters at LT
Tyler Smith at LG

Conner McGovern at Center

ZackMaertin at RG (of course)
Tyron Smith at RT

I hadn't seen anything about moving Tyler Smith to to LG and having Peters at T.

Not sure I like that change.

Tyler Smith has been excellent this year at LT and Peters had already been playing some at LG during this season and doing well.
Oh did you miss the last game? This is what they did after Biadasz left the game.

That’s why it’s important to get Biadiz back for the playoffs. Peters can’t hold up against the Bosa’s and Reddicks for 60 plus plays IMO.

I'd like to see him rotate in at both center and left guard Sunday. 10-12 snaps at each position.
I may be one of the ones against this. UNLESS you know Biadasz is returning next week.

If not, you keep your 5 you plan on rolling out against Tampa next week and let them gel. This isn’t a good team to build your confidence upfront against

Yep, his 21 day return window has started. With Biadasz out, he might get rushed back...although he has been out for 9 weeks for what was thought to be a 6 week injury.
I think we need him at least as backup this week
Who else can play center?

I agree about Farniok but if he can't go I think Martin would take the center spot. Didn't we also have a rookie C on the PS?

just hope we get "badass" back....that is our weakest link...Biadaiz was coming into his own.....improved a lot.....nervous McGovern gets manhandled by superioer inteiror offensive lineman.....that will mess

with Dak the most...having people run up the middle on him......rest our guys ....and in 2 weeks Biadiaz will be back from less than serious high ankle sprain

I think there is a center on PS
Has Martin ever played center?
On a side note I wish we had a Martin type blocker to play center lol

That's the lineup they used last week after Biadasz was injured...

Think you might have a typo in your OP.

With Steele and Biadasz out those are the best 5 O-Linemen they could put on the field. Really the only possible variation would be to have Tyron and Peters switch OT spots
If 100% healthy, I think Farniok is not far below Biadasz in terms of talent. Obviously experience is an issue but it's not as if they're trying to replace Travis Frederick...

IMO if they are moving Smith back to Left guard I rather shift back Tyron to the left side.

But I guess they feel better with Peters at LT than RT.
