Won't surprise me if Bledsoe starts on Sunday against the Panthers.

1. Romo made more stupid mistakes and foolish throws for int's than Bledsoe...he gets a pass because he's green, but unless we want to say the season is over, he's not ready.

2. We're 1 game out of first place in our division at 3-3....lose all of the upcoming road games with Romo, and the season is indeed over. Right now we have a better chance of winning our division than of getting a wild card birth.

3. Bledsoe QB'ed the win over Carolina last season.

4. Watching half from the sidelines, including seeing in Romo what happens to a team when the QB is stubborn and throws the ball into coverage may actually help Bledsoe do better with another chance...He was very sharp on the first half drive for our TD.

5. I'm not convinced Parcells really went to Romo because he thinks Romo is a better QB for the Cowboys right now than Bledsoe...I think he went to Romo because it was obvious we weren't going to get the job done in pass protection, and he wanted to get the TE back into things.

True, Carolina can bring pressure too, but they don't blitz as much as NY did last night. They count on their DL.

I'll have to hear from Parcells that he has made this a seasonal change, that it wasn't just for the 2nd half. Teams used to bounce back and forth between QB's all the time, playing the hot hand or whichever QB gave them the best chance to win a game.

Every game is different...Bledsoe may give us the best chance most of the time, but Romo may be the 2nd half QB when we can't protect or when Bledsoe loses it.

Just an opinion...I hope he hasn't already announced it and I missed it...:)

I believe you have some great points to considered before we decide on the next QB.

However, I am tired of watching Bledsoe pat the ball and get sacked.......ROMO is exciting and I am ready to roll the dice!

Bledsoe is done, going back to him would be taking a step backwards IMO. We should have made the move to Romo in week-1 and stayed with it.

Even when Bledsoe has time this year he doesn't look good. He looks as if he is expecting the pass rush even when it isn't there and doesn't step into his throws.

Romo, for all his mistakes, looks like he has a much quicker release, is better able to evade the rush, and his passes look much crisper and accurate. He will only get better while Bledsoe is likely to get worse and will not get any better than he has been.

I would much rather struggle with a young guy who will improve than with an old guy who won't.

Me neither.

I agree with your whole post.

If he rides Romo, so be it. But I wouldn't be shocked one bit if he goes back to Bledsoe.

NY doesn't usually blitz as much as they did last night either. But anyone who watched five minutes of the Eagles game is going to ratchet up their blitz % with Bledsoe in the game, then double TO and especially Glenn and watch the sacks start.

I think you don't want to get Romo's hopes down, so what I would do is just the opposite of what they did against the Giants. Let Romo get a week of preperation and then go into the game and let Romo be the starter and see how he does when he can start fresh. Then if he is still doing the same mistakes, let bledsoe come in after halftime.

I agree. I think he'll give Bledsoe one last chance.

But what happens this week in practice, and what's said by Bledsoe this week could change that. It'll be up to Drew to handle it like a vet. Drew knows his game is off, though. You can tell by the way he gave himself up throwing his body at the goal line at Philly and again last night. A confident QB would be doing it with his arm, instead of playing every down like it might be his last.

Sure the OL sucks, but there is some genuine denial going on with DB right now.

Another reason....short week of preparation....I trust the vet more.

Of course, I'm just as concerned with our defense as I am our offense...we were manhandled and @#$ch slapped last night, and we never answered back till the game was over...Our DB's can't find and play the ball...no wonder other QB's are happy to just throw it up for grabs.

Most disappointing was the fact that we were dominated in the run game...Tiki and his huge sub were both good, but their OL dominated our front 7.

1.Romo made some bad mistakes. He also moved the ball and did a good job of avoiding pressure at times. I think he is the better option because he can move better and get the ball out quicker.

2. I agree and although Bledsoe starting would probably allow us to win some games against inferior competition, as he has already this year, I don't think we can get over the hump with him. It seems to me that he has regressed from last year. He has a 70 quarterback rating. That just isn't going to get it done.

3. I think Bledsoe was better last year than he is this year. It seems like he's even slower and more herky jerky in his motion. And the telltale sign his numbers are worse.

4. Maybe, but Bledsoe is a 14 year vet. I don't know if he's going to change.

5. I'm not sure of Parcells though process, but part of his decision may turn on how Bledsoe responds to the threat from Romo.

My guess is that Parcells doesn't announce a starter right away, tries to give them both equal reps this week and forces Carolina to prepare for both QB's. I think he'll look at how both look in practice and their diligence in getting the game plan down. I think in the end though he goes with Romo.

His game isn't off...it is what it's always been...look at his career stats. Still, the question is who gives us the best chance to win games. There's plenty of time for Romo after we are eliminated from the playoff race, which may be by the end of November. His run for the TD was more him trying to make a statement, imo...accentuated by the demonstrative way he spiked the ball.

He led that drive and threw perfect passes, perfect decisions, and I think that spike was aimed at the fans calling for Romo as much as it was for anyone else. Unfortunately, he then made the foolish throw right before half.

Man I cant phathom going back to DB at this point.

Everybody saw that this kid is more ready than most guys who had never played in real games before. Oh sure those picks were brutal (course we're used to seein those anyway) but he actually made a bunch of real nice plays inbetween those. The kind that DB just cant make due to his own limitations or otherwise.

Lets not act like his numbers were 9-21 for 63 yards along with the picks (like most 1st time starters' would be) yet we just wanna say the future is now come hell or high water.

No.. the kid did some good things.. and it wasnt in garbage time either.

if he hadn't hit crayton with the td pass to pull within 14 and had he thrown another int, then yes. but his numbers plus the fact that inmobile bledsoe is like blood in the water for the sharks. peppers and co will destroy bledsoe if he happens to start.

I think he really might go back to Bledsoe. Romo had the chance to take over this team last night, and he fell flat on his face. That probably weighs on Parcells. I don't really want Bledsoe back in at this point, it seems pointless, but I think that will happen.

I haven't been on the Romo bandwagon. But now that we have made the change, I feel we should stick with it and see what we have. Parcells may blow smoke this week to make Carolina's job a little harder, but Romo should start.

If I were Fox I would game plan for Romo because Bledsoe is easier to deal with.

I heard on Mike & Mike show that John Clayton is reporting that Bledsoe will regain his starting spot next week. I was hoping this is not true but that's what I heard

Yes he made mistakes, BUT this is the 1st time we have seen Witten involved all year, Crayton involved more and even Fasano. It's quite obvious that our weapons can be much better utilized without keeping Witten in to block to help Bledsoe. Thoughts?

Just gotta wonder what would have happened if TO hangs on to that 4th and 2 pass. There was nothing but green in front of him. Changed the whole game.

Why not. Carolina will kill Drew. At least Romo can move.
