The G-Men blitzed a lot with Romo in the game and the loss of Umenyiora was more likely to cause them to blitz more. Arrington's loss wasn't as big since Torbor replaced him and was a starter last year. They played a ton of Cover 2 throughout. I'd have to look at the game some more as far as what they were doing when they were up 11 points.
True. But you have to take into consideration that the Gints probably spent most of their time in practice preparing for Bledsoe. Carolina will be alot more prepared to handle both situations.
I'm not sure how Carolina can be that much more prepared for Romo. The guy has played all of one half of football in his career.
Romo looked good but I keep telling people who want Romo to start "be careful for what you ask for".
I agree, but he's got to play. He's a 4th year guy that's been in the same offense for 4 years. We know what we have in Bledsoe. It's not going to cut it and truth be told, I think Romo was better and is better than Bledsoe at this point.
I'd rather go 6-10 with Romo and make it abundantly clear that he can't play in the NFL, than go 9-7 with Bledsoe and have no idea what Romo can or can't do.
And I think the bottom line is that this team is not going anywhere, not even if Roger and Aikman are behind center with the offensive line being the way it is.
I'm still more concerned about the defense and some of the offensive playcalling. In the last 3 games, teams seemingly have a good idea of what Dallas is going to run.
On defense, until they get consistent pressure on the pass rusher, they are going to be a very average defense to watch.
Ware can't do it all.
