I'll be giving this a shot since it's definitely landing a second season with these numbers on Starz.

True Detective is awesome! Its hard to go wrong when you have both Mcconaughey and Woody teamed up together but this show went well beyond my expectations.
The only bad thing is that I planned on cancelling my HBO subscription after Boardwalk Empire and Eastbound and Down ended but now they sucked me back in.

I'll get HBO again once Game of Thrones is back, and I'm sure all the episodes of True Detective will be on HBO Demand, or HBO Go. Will check it out in a binge watch session then.

Yeah for me personally until GoT comes back on, true detective hands down is the best show on television.

Yup. I was following it through the pilot production process, very interesting plot. I hate watching a show if it doesn't get a second season, so now I can jump in as this is now Starz #1 series ratings wise, pulling nearly 50% of their subscriber base live is actually quite ridiculous - higher percentage than HBO does for GoT.

Took a look at it. Reminded me a little of the approach of Spartacus; action, skin, etc. I like Pirate era stuff enough to forgive some of the minor problems. Michael Bay production does worry me though.

Blackbeard was AWESOME!

But seriously, I loved the show, I am curious where they are going to take the John Silver character. Plus I liked the prostitute that he hooked up with and see where they take her roll in things.

I realized that was stupid. I still have yet to see the show but should have known better since it was on Starz.

I enjoyed it. I think the main character works very well, but the "cook" was poorly cast. Production quality delivers.

Um. Caught up with the first two episodes and the "Inside" look. Um. Interesting. That Max...um. Wowsers. And that Silver dude...quiet the opportunist. Smart. Good memory, good for him...

No.. No.. There was nothing awesome about Blackbeard... *shudders*
