Rico 5 carries for 25 yards

Zeke 8 carries for 17 yards

The goal is to SAVE Zeke, but we ended up playing him a lot, he was even out there during the blow out when Lamb and Dak were finally taken out. You're a vet in this league and you wanted to stay in during a blow out??

I guess that meeting did something, we sure as hell used him a lot, but we're supposed to be saving him. I'm so confused, he does absolutely NOTHING for this offense, it's painful to see him out there. Hoping after the bye, we've made the ultimate decision to part ways! Please give your thoughts

What's bad is the RBs were even worse than what you posted...Rico had 2 rushes for 18 yards in the 2nd to last possession and zeke had 3 rushes for 11 yards in the last possession of the game. That means through 3 1/2 quarters our top two RBs had 8 carries for 12 yards. Truly pathetic. And to your original point it was obvious that JJ told MM to give Zeke the heavier load this game.

And most of that yardage was accumulated in garbage time.

Rico just had his best game and we decide to go back to Zeke.

This is the same baffling decision making that brought Zeke back in the first place. This is not all Jerry. Mike deserves a huge share of the blame because it's his damn offense.

A running game starts with attitude. The OL and the RBs need to be bullies. Snap after snap. Everyone needs to finish blocks and runs hard. It’s a mentality. Dallas doesn’t have the required toughness to do it.

2.1 yards per carry. This DET highlights why I didn't want them to sign Zeke because no matter how ineffective he is Jerry will order him carries...even with 4 to 5 RBs (Rico, Hunter, Dalvin, Deuce, Miles) better on the roster. Some guy told Zeke wasn't a progress stopper lol.

I just don't get it, what is he trying to prove there's NOTHING ZEKE does that makes our offense better

8 carries, 17 yards...wow. Wanna see it look worse?

he had a long run of 6 yards. Remove that one from the equation.

Unless McCarthy commits to the run none of these backs is going to excel. Derrick Henry gained 15 yards on his first 6 carries yesterday. The first 5 of those came in the first quarter. When was the last time any of our guys got 5 carries in a quarter. It's become abundantly clear that McCarthy cares even less about the running game than Kellen Moore did so we should all move on from this team ever running the ball effectively. The most disturbing thing I saw in the run game yesterday was that we appear to have dusted off the don't block the defensive end delay handoff play. It was stopped for a loss every time they ran it except for one time Zeke broke the tackle and got two yards out of it. When I saw us running that play it signaled to me that we had given up actually trying to run the ball and were merely using an occasional run play as a place holder while we looked for our next pass.

I still can't believe he's on the team. The jersey sales can't be making Jerry that much money. Or is it to have Dak's buddy around? It's baffling.

He's emblematic of the fact this isn't a serious franchise.

Players want to play regardless of the score man. I never wanted to come out of a game at any point in my playing days. I would have played both ways and all special teams if they would have let me. I don't think Zeke is any different.

I think it's cute that people think if we had david Montgomery we'd have a running game. I really believe most on here just watch Dallas and nobody else

I am not defending the RBs but I don't think Barry Sanders could gain any yards behind this offensive line. The teams that racked up huge rushing yards against Dallas were running through huge holes where the RBs weren't touched for 6 to 10 yards. Rico and Zeke are getting hit at the LOS or even behind the LOS and doing great just to get back to a yard gain.

It seems like it is hard to accept that the offensive line is horrible than it is to blame the RBs.
