I suspect if you put our line in Baltimore with their playcaller our line would do just fine. If you watch our schemes we are constantly trying to finesse people in the run game. As I mentioned they brought back the delay handoff where nobody blocks the backside DE play yesterday. That unblocked DE made the tackle every time we want it except for the one time Zeke shook him off and got two. Our line is HUGE and we are still *****footin around up there. We need to get a hat on a hat and move people. Until we do so we are going to continue to struggle to run the ball with any consistency. This is not the old 49er or Denver offensive line with smaller, quicker guys up front. These a behemoths and we need use them as such. I think Zack Martin is the smallest guy on our line by 10 or 15 pounds. Think about that.. a 315 pound man is our "lil guy." We need to be playing smash mouth not ballroom dancing.
Yeah, our o-line coach doesn't seem to have the right "schemes" for our guys.

Maybe but I think you have this backwards. I think the Cowboys need to get him going to establish the run. And they're never going to get him going on 2 carries a quarter. The dude just can't play that way. Like I said, some guys can come off the bench and some guys can't. Zeke appears to be the latter. It is what it is. If they want the most out of him they need to start him and feed him. If they're not willing to do that then I think we will continue to see him being ineffective. It's just not working out for him to run it one time, pass block two plays then go stand on the sidelines for 15 minutes. The old muscles and bones don't appear to get lubed up fast enough. It is what it is.

I think it’s madness to want to give Zeke the ball even more.

Get a real RB that isn’t washed and give them
The ball more.

Yeah they seduced me when the went to full on smash mouth in the second half of the Steeler game. You saw a TON of combo blocks, double teams and the like. And the running game suddenly looked decent against a team that had been what 1st or 2nd in the NFL against the run up to that point? It's simple. If your guys can't win one on one with their man then you have to double at the point of attack to get the movement you want. When you do that however you can't be running out of shotgun and asking the backs to get there when you're leaving backside defenders unblocked. NFL defenders are too smart and too fast for that so when you run power you have to run it 100 mph. When the line is moving forward and the back rams into them at 100 mph the pile will consistently move 4-5 yards even if the defenders are there. When the line is moving sideways (or backwards) and the backs are having to sit there waiting for something to open up (and it usually doesn't) then the result is a meager *** running game with backs constantly being contacted behind the line of scrimmage.

Jerry wanted to tell the story about how Zeke marched into his office and implored the godfather to give him the ball.

Zeke then turned around and decimated a once proud Detroit run defense.

Jerry then looked like a master strategist and talent evaluator, pushing all the right buttons.

That's the level of delusion I expect from this FO.

Hard to establish the run when your offense can’t convert first downs because they’re constantly in 2nd and 3rd and longs because Zeke is getting less than 2 yards per carry at that point in the game.

The OL deserves blame too. But Zeke is cooked man. It’s foolish to sit here and pretend he isn’t and that the cowboys just need to establish the run to get him going.
EXACTLY!!!!!!!

What's bad is the RBs were even worse than what you posted...Rico had 2 rushes for 18 yards in the 2nd to last possession and zeke had 3 rushes for 11 yards in the last possession of the game. That means through 3 1/2 quarters our top two RBs had 8 carries for 12 yards. Truly pathetic. And to your original point it was obvious that JJ told MM to give Zeke the heavier load this game.
Surprised they did that well. Our RBs are the slowest players on the field.

Time to see Dalvin. Put all the other back on the practice squad and feed the guy. I want to see what he has and if everyone is right, he’s cooked. If he is then I want to see it with my own eyes. I also want to see Trey Lance, we wasted a pick, but let’s just confirm that he really sucks. We can’t do any worse than yesterday, his ability to run means a minimum we get a few extra yards, where Dak just gets sacked. My pony is I just want to see instead of puppets telling me what will happen.
