Statement from Jerry Jones on Dak Prescott

But...but...Dalton is going to steal Dak's job and/or Jerry will draft Clemson Barbie.

Jerry Jones is sold on Dak and Dak's career is not over. It doesn't matter what any of us think about it.

Dalton was never going to take Dak's job this year. I think we all knew that it would take an injury for Dak to leave the game.

However, Jones is obviously not sold on Dak long-term, at least not at this price Dak wanted. Otherwise, Dak would've been signed long-term.

Think we all have heard this same song and dance before when Romo got hurt...what else is Jerry gonna say? ....Face it man....Dak is done. Wouldn't shock me to see him slip into a deep depression...and never be the same. It's a bad break for sure.

Betcha Jerry didn't say that. He had it prepared. Not enough......"uhhhh......back in Arkansas,"......"as I was saying uh,"......"but you know, it's like when you poke a pig,"........."And we're on this wagon to California and like I told yall....."

At least he had enough sense to get someone who could make a cohesive, heartfelt, and very much needed statement!

People need to stop saying this. The problem isn't the money it's the years. Jerry wants 5 years on the deal and Dak wants 4. That suggests that they want Dak long term, unlike you and others that say Jerry is hesitant. They wouldn't try to get more years on the deal if that was the case

I don’t care whether he’s worth the money or not right now. The guy’sbrother committed suicide not too long ago and He was dealing with the depression over that. Now there is this devastating injury. Just on a human level I wish him nothing but the best

Jerry hands out bad contracts like they’re candy yet he didn’t do it for Dak. I think you’re right that he’s not sold.

Personally, I thought the minute this season started without a contract, Dak was only going to have 1 more year max in Dallas. And that was only in the unlikely event a $37M 1 year rental made sense.

The GM shouldn’t be running the team this way.. That’s the problem.

Jimmy Johnson said thie Cowboys are a country club.. He’s right ya know.

If Dalton goes out and performs and they pay Dak whatever he wants they are fools.

He is sold long term. Dak wanted a shorter term and that was the main hold up.

No loyalty in business.. let’s see how this plays out.

I love Dak & wanted him long term. But, let’s see what happens with the team moving forward. Also, I’m not willing to offer Dak the same contract he turned down this offseason. He will have to prove it again.

Coming from someone who has always supported Dak & wanted him as a long term QB. Him & his agent decided to penny pinch, now they have to live with the consequences of their risk by not signing the 4/160, or whatever it ended up being.
