Statement Game for Tyron

Folks, I would prepare yourselves for a long night. Smith may be all that and a can of beer, but I believe he is going to get a brisk lesson in this game. Just hope he learns from it.

Of course, someone will find a way to blame it Free or the guards, or most likely Costa.

I expect Garrett will make sure Tyron has help on the edge all night with the tight ends and backs.

.....we talked in the Locklear thread how Bennett will help double Ware....so I sure hope Tyron gets help. I think the world of the young man, but despite JPP's complete *****iness as a person, the guy is a baller. He's really hard for the best and most seasoned LT's in the game to handle. Yeah, Ferrell and Coughlin know what Romo can do which is why they'll do all they can to make sure he doesn't have time: personally, I'd leave in 2 tight ends AND Vickers in at fullback to assure he has a clean pocket: yep, that means only 3 in the pattern. I have confidence he and Dez and Miles can still do good things. Maybe Hanna at times as well. IF Witten can't go...and he probably can't then bring in an extra tackle like Parnell to play tight end: it's extreme but hey....they have an extreme rush and we want to keep tony clean.

Calahan should bring out the old vid's of Big E man handling Reggie White, Tyron needs a mean streak, he needs to punish the player in front of him, dont just sit back and let them unload on him.....The Big E way

If Tyron is able to handle JPP on his own or with limited help this could be the difference in the game and possibly start a shift in power between us and the Giants. I think this is a critical match up and one that I hope and think that Tyron is up for.

Tyron will have to be considered one of the elite LTs in the game if he is up to the task. That is a serious statement to the rest of the league.

Well, he's going to get beat a time or two...but he will learn something...so will we.

;)

One of the two will make a statement tomorrow night. Let's hope it's Tyron and not JPP. My money is on Tyron.

Yeah, it's a little unrealistic to ask him to make a statement against one of the great edge rushers in the league in his first game at LT.

I would hardly consider JPP one of the greats just yet. Is he good yes, great TBD

I am doing the math here, but if we keep two TE's and a FB in to block, we will have only 2 receivers in the pattern. Just saying . . . .
