Biadasz could very well be the steal of the draft from last year. To get this guy in the 4th round is incredible. I know he isnt getting a lot of hype like some of these other kids, but I believe from watching him that this guy is going to be one of the better centers in the NFL in the coming years and he is the new anchor of the Oline. I anticipate seeing those big holes up the middle that Zeke enjoyed when Fredbeard was in charge.

Great news!

Some are already talking about him not being one of the best five offensive linemen on the team. Connor Williams has been taking some center snaps. If the Cowboys feel like a left guard-center tandem of McGovern-Williams is better than Williams-Biadasz then that's the way they will go.

If Biadasz is everything that we hope he is then he will demonstrate that on the field over the next three weeks. However, lets keep in mind that Biadasz became the starting center last season due to injury. First, Fredericks retired before the season even began and then Looney went down. Biadasz didn't earn the starting job, he was simply the next man up. This preseason he will have a chance to earn a starting job.

I've heard a few good things about Biadasz....from team sources and team run media. However, I don't recall anyone from an outside source single him out for the quality of his play. He is ranked between the 20th and 24th best center in the league right now among those that rank player positions. Of course, with Martin and Collins to his right and Tyron to his left, all healthy now, he's got some great advantages few centers in this league share.

Biadasz absolutely should show marked improvement from last season transitioning from a rookie to a 2nd year player. If he doesn't than that is on him.

We will have one Olinemen sets where he dominates the entire defensive line all by himself he is that good

Although i think CeeDee also could be considered a steal at #17 pick in the first round, yes Baddazzz was quite a find in the 4th. I think it was an injury that made him slide down or he could have gone in the top 2 rounds. i do expect him to continue to improve and become very very good, and maybe great. Just happy to have him on the team.

wiliams work at center has nothing to do with Biadasz. Biadasz is the starting center no question about it.

Not gonna lie....Was a big fan of his....Thought he would be making a major jump in year 2...and I'm just not seeing it yet. Hate to say it...but Conner Williams just looks better @ C right now. I hope Biadasz hasn't already hit his ceiling. Not to say we couldn't get by with him....but damn...I had high expectations for him in year 2. Thought for sure he would have hit the weight room hard this off season...

Concerning....

I still haven't figured out if he's good or not. The main concern I have was hearing that Dalton didn't like his snaps in the shotgun. I never actually heard Dalton quoted, but apparently he was off target a lot. Dalton had to focus on the snap instead of checking out the defense.

I forgot. Did we trade for Philly to get Biadasz?
yes

here it was on the trade chart

  • Philly gave up pick 146 (33 pts)
  • Dallas gave up pick 164 (25.8pt) and 2021 5th (valued at 2020 mid 6th...or 8.2 pts) 25.8+8.2 = 34pts

fair trade on paper for both, but we stole the player...imo
Nice move by Jerry

I don't think he needs as big a holes as what you imagine in your head. Just standing their ground and not getting blown up would be a big help.

Prove it over 3 preseason games ?
When nuthin is at stake, a great chance the more notable high rated DT/NT interiors not even playing , much less majority of the starters..? .

Preseason is Not gonna be Tyler's measuring stick to judge him by,

As far as last year, Cowboys do not want to overwhelm Tyler at the very start his rookie year and thought to gradually work him in.
Already having the vet Looney here to start while Tyler adjusted to the NFL was a luxury.

The move to the starting lineup was gonna eventually happen
..either at some point of the season, or start of camp. They thought that much of him to trade up to get him,.. they thought that much of him to
make him the starting center this year .. not Williams over Tyler.

I’m not paying super close attention but it sounds like Williams may start at center and McGovern at guard.
I don’t think so Catch. IMO the thinking is that if Biadasz goes out with injury, they want to slide C Williams over to center and bring in C McGovern at LG.

They are just preparing for a scenario where Biadasz isn’t available.

At least that’s how I see it at this (admittedly) early point.

The steal of the draft will forever be Lamb or Diggs if they continue on the path we think they will. I feel like the fans feel better about Biadiasz than the staff does. I know I think he’s gonna be a stud and fit right in….do the coaches though?
