Dak deserves some shade too.
Steele has looked HORRIBLE this year.Plain and simple
Something the whole fanbase agrees with. Steele was very very bad all game.
Maybe we needed to invest in some OL depth?
What contract have the Cowboys done that isn't an albatross lately? Even the bargain ones they get done with gimpy players end up being horrid because the players don't come back the same. They need to stop that garbage.Steele has looked HORRIBLE this year.
That contract may end up being a total albatross.
Jerry is very prone to overvaluing his own players. I think there is this idea that you will end up overpaying in FA only for players that were previously on other teams, but the problem is that you are paying that inflated market value for your own guys too since the rest of the league is still bidding against you. What contract have the Cowboys done that isn't an albatross lately? Steele cannot be a depth piece with that contract. You would have to try and find a way to move him to another team to get the cap hit off the books.I think either the first or second round pick needs to be a tackle. Someone that can make Steele a depth piece.
This should be pinned to the top of the board. Steel has regressed to the worst player on the field! He got paid and decided he achieved the top and there’s no reason to try anymore. He’s quickly went to a player I really don’t want around.Plain and simple

Do you think, perhaps, that may be, just maybe we could have slid a tight end or a running back to the right side and chipped Steele’s guy? I mean, that’s what we used to do in high school for God sakes..Yup, he should be shamed like on game of thrones…..dude got drives killed.
we did that last year, not sure why we were jason garrett stubborn this yearDo you think, perhaps, that may be, just maybe we could have slid a tight end or a running back to the right side and chipped Steele’s guy? I mean, that’s what we used to do in high school for God sakes..
If he plays this poorly all season, it would be unlikely they could get anything but a 6th or later. Dallas will likely keep him through at least 3 years of his contract if not more.https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/dallas-cowboys/terence-steele-48236/
Well, maybe there's a way we can move him? I think taking a 4th or 5th for him would be good. We may have to eat half the dead cap, but we might be able to get a pick for him, and we can draft a tackle in round one or two.

I still have some faith he could rebound and is just in the process of regaining his footing after a pretty bad injury, but one thing is for certain: it is hard on your offense when your right tackle is an absolute turnstile all season.
Gallup is almost certainly gone after this year IMO. Dallas needs to draft WR and OL in the first two rounds and should be in pretty good shape at both positions afterwards.Exactly, and I mean, I understand trying to justify the contract, but, if at the end of the season, he's been a turnstile for the majority of the season, then maybe it's worth getting the 6th round pick. Considering he was undrafted, it's not the worst compensation. Especially if there's a tackle that's a significant upgrade in round 1, which I can definitely see. I mean, let's face it, sometimes it's important to know when to cut bait on a player and get what you can for him. Steele and Gallup are two players that fit that description imo.

I just do not see Jerry being willing to admit defeat so quickly on a player like Steele that was homegrown here in Dallas.
