The Super Bowl champion Steelers have the fourth easiest schedule in the NFL for 2009. What a crock for just coming off a Super Bowl title.

Our schedule looks to be much more difficult. Does anyone know where we rank in strength of schedule compared to the other 31 teams?

We rank 11th or 12th easiest schedule, cant remember, all i know, iggles in our last game possible for a playoff spot again.......terrible....

They dont play any team who gets to prepare for them during bye...

They also play in Miami and get some experience on that field before their superbowl game..

Your point? They had the toughest schedule in the NFL last year and survived obviously. It doesn't matter.

They also get the majority of the tough games at home. Last year they played 3 of 4 division winners plus the previous years SB winner at home (Colts, Chargers, Cowboys, Giants). This year it's the same thing (Titans, Chargers, Vikings).

Steelers are a good team, but there is an obvious bias for the Rooney's.

We had a lot of our tough games at home over the years too.. Stop crying.

Yes, the NFL works everyone's schedule around the Steelers.:banghead: Nobody and I mean NOBODY on this forum hates Pittsburg more than me but there is no bias in the scheduling.

this is all based on strength of schedule from the previous year. they also said the Steelers had the toughest schedule last season but it clearly wasn't when you factor everything in like injuries for example.

Not to mention last year they played the 13-3 cowboys along with the other NFC East and the 16-0 Patriots...

This year you have 0-16 lions, and (???) 2-14/4-12 bengals and browns twice

It'll mess up your average.

There is a bias in scheduling, it's called making money, that's why the 9-7 Cowboys have 6 prime time games. What other 9-7 or better teams have 6 prime time games??

People have bias' and everyone knows you either hate or love the Cowboys and that includes the schedule makers. Explain how everyone knows we suck in December but yet we get another year of playing teams that all have the potential to make the playoffs whereas we could have played Oak/KC/TB/Seattle, teams that are rebuilding?? I think we can win this years Dec games, but it sure does make for some interesting media talk........about those hated Cowboys.

I agree the players have to step up and the coaches have to push harder, but the media hate does get old and no one on this board that watches ESPN or listens to the radio can honestly say we get more love than we receive hate.

At least we are home this time around.

Steelers actually ended up having one of the easiest schedules last year when it was all done and over.

Looks like they get all their "hard games" at home again.

Wow, could the league be anymore biased for the Steelers???

after going 17-1 the New England Patriots had something like the 8th easiest schedule EVER. it means nothing s.o.s. is determined from last seasons records and no involvement of the offseason acquisitions and draft

the league CANNOT decide to "make" a certain game home or away. That has been set into time years into the future.

Our home teams and away teams for next year have been set.

Some of you are letting your hatred for the Steelers affect your better judgment.

Very true, the only bias that can be used is what week a certain game is played, we already pretty much know who we play in 2010 other than the teams that finish in the corresponding spot in their NFC division...we just don't know the week or the times.

Stop the whinning..

I didn't hear any complaints when the Steelers had the toughest schedule last year and all they did was win the Superbowl with it.

I wouldn't worry too much about a team's Strength of Schedule before the season begins. Obviously, they use last year's record to calculate a team's SOS. But anything could happen and I wouldn't be surprised if come Decemeber, the Steelers' SOS is much closer to the middle of the pack when you apply the current records.
